A chorus of Republicans, from hard-core supporters of Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) to nervous establishment figures like Mitt Romney, is telling Gov. John Kasich (R-Ohio) to stop campaigning and let voters consolidate behind a single Not-Trump candidate.
Kasich's response: Thanks, but you don't know what you're talking about.
"When we get to Pennsylvania, we get to New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island let me tell ya, if I drop out, Donald Trump is absolutely going to be the nominee," Kasich said after a town hall in the suburbs of Milwaukee. "I'm not out here to stop Donald Trump, but I can tell you the reality of it. I don't believe Sen. Cruz can come to the east and win...

“Read today that Ohio law says it Kasich drops out the second person (Trump) gets his delegates. Can anyone confirm that?”
I read something about that, too. Would that be 66 more delegates for Trump?
BOL! You are never nasty?
And he says hes not there to stop Trump, yeah, right.

GOPe puppet
I lost a lot of respect for this guy.
Can’t believe how conceited he’s become.
“”I’m not out here to stop Donald Trump”
Uh-huh.
Sounds like Kasich is pondering.
He’s right on this one. But he’s wrong in thinking he matters at al going forward.
Where he’s right is in binding the Ohio delegates that he has won. If he drops out, they are free to move, and Trump will assuredly benefit.
Boy...that would tic off Ted.
Prove it KaSICK, drop out.
The AP delegate count with some others having smaller amounts.
739 Trump
465 Cruz
166 Rubio
143 Kasich:
Needed to win the nomination: 1,237.
Not at all, I think it is just as likely true to say Trump will win if kasuck drops out as to say Trump will win if kasuck stays in. The only place that kasuck has any real effect on this election is in ..........his mind. And it is a very, very small effect indeed.
I cannot. The fact is, we are at such a convoluted state with regards to what the “rules” mean, even if we “knew”, it wouldn’t be assured the GOPe rules committee would follow them.
He won’t drop out-he’ll “suspend” and use those delegates to bargain with.
Millie, I have been called everything but a child of God by Cruzers. Guy Benson today called me a “former conservative,” a nameless body oriface Freeper called me a liar when all I did was state a fact favorable to Trump, and routinely I am called a “Trumpkin” or “Trumptard” here.
I don’t think you have grounds to complain.
Someone posted on another thread that Ohio rules say that if the primary winner there (Kasich) drops out, his delegates go to the 2nd place winner. That would be Trump. Guess the Mittmeister didn’t consider that one.. BWAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
Kasich in no way helps Mister trump if he drops out.
Kasich, (amnesty fool that he is) for no good reason, thinks that a contested convention might fall to him.
Never.
Never.
NEVER!.
.
“Someone give this poor piece of boring crap a government job.
It’s all he’s holding out for. “
I think you are on to something. After all, what is in it for Kasich if he drops out? Nothing that I see. He is likely bringing in lots of money by people who want him to stay in. He likes that, and can pocket any left over after he leaves politics, or use it for other races. In any case, it is all good for him.
He is getting lots of attention, which he obviously loves.
He has been elevated in importance to near the front runners.
Stricktly from his personal viewpoint, and from a Machiavellian view, why should he drop out?
Cui bono? (who gains?)
I’ll agree that both sides have their adherents who put shame to their cause.
Let’s have some of us agree to be more polite in our disagreements.
As for me, I attempt to be humorous in my disagreement. Sometimes, it even works!
It depends on what your meaning of the word is is.
(Newest GOPee logic)
Trump's positions on all the issues are closer to the Republican Party Platform than any of the other candidates, including those who already dropped out.
There has to be a good reason all these corruptocrats are SITP terrified of the front running GOP candidate who is promising to Make America Great Again.
Let's hear the truth. Even the multi-trillion dollar gravy train is not reason enough to explain the two hundred million being spent to take out the GOP front runner.
Only some serious death-penalty-type crimes would scare these establishment pukes this much. Let's hear it.
