Should California's Votes be Disqualified Since They are Allowing Non-Citizens to Vote?
Freedom Outpost ^ | March 19 2016 | TONY ELLIOTT

The official number of illegal aliens in the state of California is nearly 3 million. We can estimate the number to be more than double this amount in reality.

Over half of all drivers license issued in California were given to individuals who are here illegally and the state automatically registers those with a driver’s license to vote.

In 2015, California Governor Jerry Brown signed a bill giving full voting rights to illegal aliens. This gives them the right to vote in all elections from a local level to national elections, including that of choosing who will become President.

The biggest problem with this is it is against Federal law for non citizens to vote in any national election. This in itself negates the votes made by illegal aliens in California and any other state which allows them to vote.

Since a Clinton can sell access to the administration and violate all security laws with impunity, it hardly matters.

I don’t favor jettisoning states.

I don’t like what is going on in California, but California has been abandoned by the RNC for decades.

When was the last time a Republican Presidential contender came here to push Conservatism? Ronald Reagan was the last guy.

32 years ago, the Republican party abandoned the state, and it’s representatives in the state haven’t voiced support for Conservative ideals or Conservative candidates.

How much Tide, Campbell’s Soup, or Ford Cars would we sell in state, if they got the corporate support the RNC gives Conservatism in California?

Trump will compete for California. It will be the first time Conservatism has been hawked in the state since Reagan.

If as I suspect that brings Conservative principles back into vogue in the state, we should see more candidates run on a Conservative ticket and win state seats.

A guy like Trump changes everything.

So no, I do not favor jettisoning states.

We retake them.

I don’t want to live in a swiss cheese nation.

The states do not have the right to confer voting to illegal aliens.

Illegal aliens confer citizenship on their babies.

Congress has the authority to throw out California's electoral votes provided there is a challenge to those votes and both Houses of Congress vote to throw them out.

Congress could theoretically refuse to seat California's senators and congressmen, but that would reopen Powell v. House of Representatives, in which the Supreme Court decided in Adam Clayton Powell's favor.

Powell, a typical Democrat scumbag, in the original sense of the word.

“Absolutely not! They should be disqualified because they are Californians. It’s something in the water.”

Water! Who drinks water? Do you know what fish do in there? It’s what’s in the Tequila, mon.

The U.S. Constitution contains very few provisions relating to the qualifications of Electors. Article II, section 1, clause 2 provides that no Senator or Representative, or Person holding an Office of Trust or Profit under the United States, shall be appointed an Elector. As a historical matter, the 14th Amendment provides that State officials who have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the United States or given aid and comfort to its enemies are disqualified from serving as Electors.

Illegals are enemies as far as I am concerned, and California has certainly given aid and comfort to them. In a way they are even engaged in an insurrection against the United States that has just been slow and methodical.

I'm always impressed by those that rag on California as if their states don't have some of the same crap happening.

There were 10 states—including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, Vermont, and Washington, as well as Washington, D.C.— in August that issued driver’s licenses to unauthorized immigrants.

Two more states, Hawaii and Delaware, have since then added their names to that list.

The illegals have infiltrated every state and there are liberals in every state working to give them citizenship.

In 2015, California Governor Jerry Brown signed a bill giving full voting rights to illegal aliens.

That is simply untrue. California passed no such law. If you click on the link in the original article, it takes you to a report on a California law allowing illegals to get driver's licenses, not to vote.

I'm sure some illegals vote in California; I'm sure some illegals vote in every state. But it is certainly not authorized by California law.

The Court stated that being a scumbag is not sufficient reason to deny someone a seat in the House when he had followed all the laws of his state to be duly elected.

If anything, being a scumbag is a requirement for the job.

We should sell California to Australia.

They could call it Calistralia.

Put in some crocodiles and kangaroos.

Ship some dirty old hippies to the outback for Dingo dinner.

Everyone wins.

Illegal alien votes disqualify mine. The government doesn’t care.

Well, that would account for the relatively small percentage of sane californians. Obviously the adult beverages I consumed were not high enough zippage to protect me.

In 2015, California Governor Jerry Brown signed a bill giving full voting rights to illegal aliens

How can this be legal in any way, size, shape, or form? At minimum - how can it hold up with any FEDERAL election? If courts have struck down state efforts to put term limits in place for US Representatives and Senators (which is defined in the US Constitution), why would the vote not fall into the same category?

Who would the courts say have standing to sue? That unfortunately seems to be a big stumbling block with this sort of thing.

In what alternative, unicorn and fairy dust filled universe do you live in? California is now a one party hard-line communist experiment gone haywire and viral.

Do you really think that Trump (though I like the man) is going to persuade more conservative candidates to run in the state? I hate to break it to you, but conservatism evaporated there looonng ago, like water on the planet Mercury. Not gonna happen. People vote with their pocketbooks, and IMHO the only event that brings *any* conservative ideology back to the state will be its eventual and catastrophic bankruptcy.

Which will, of course, drag the rest of the country down with it.
