Utah Speaker of the House Greg Hughes just endorsed Donald Trump in front of a crowd of about 400 at a rally for the insurgent Republican presidential candidate.

Hughes says he met Trump's son, Donald Trump Jr. recently who asked for his endorsement.

Hughes spoke to a revved up crowd at the Infinity Event Center in downtown Salt Lake City as Trump fans waited for the billionaire to address the crowd.

“Curz’s lies became too much. His KKK harping was absurd”

I was appalled by Cruz’s saying Trump wouldn’t show his tax returns because it would show mob ties. I had to laugh. I do my own taxes, some years fairly complex due to rentals, self-employment, and investment income. I’ve never seen a form or line item related to bribes, payoffs, mafia accounts. that was the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard anyone say, especially the most brilliant, most conservative, most Christian candidate to ever run.

Then why did trump get all the conservatives in every southern state? Clearly conservatives don’t think Cruz is conservative at all. Trump they feel is.

Did you catch what Ted actually said? He thanked Mitt for his support “in UTAH”. Ted didn’t thank him for “his endorsement”.

With Ted, you never know, if his lips are moving, but that told me Mitt may not have outright endorsed Cruz anywhere outside of UTAH and Mitt made it clear to Cruz it was for his benefit in Utah only.

We will see, but not a ringing “thank you” did I hear. Cruz knows he is being used. He looks like a Bassett hound lately.

I mean, Mitt would love to be picked, himself, at Convention, where the GOPE will most certainly set Ted in the freezer.

Don’t know how they pulled that off but I am impressed.

I bet Romney and his mini-me Cruz did not see this coming.

I haven’t heard him.

At one point I was referencing Eric as the person who made the presentation Donald Jr. did.

I was wrong.

Trump lacks character. The man supported the auto bailouts, the Obama stimulus, hire illegals and blames the contractors, insults women and uses incendiary language against the other candidates until they join his cause...if Trump wanted Hillary to lose he should have run Democrat. He leans more to the left than Bill Clinton. Cruz is the best man running..period

but his lead over Cruz would grow by 58, making it harder for Cruz to get 1237, and harder for Cruz to even slow Trump down.

Looking at the upcoming races, I don’t really see any where Cruz will do well, or at least I hope he doesn’t do well. I don’t see Kasich being a factor in many of them either, although he’s camping out in Pennsylvania for the next month, and may pick up a few delegates, as will Cruz, but I’m pretty sure Trump will win there, and get the most delegates.

The next race isn’t until April 5th, Wisconsin, Winner Take All 42 delegates.

April 19th, NY 95 delegates proportional, but last poll shows Trump at 65 percent Cruz below 20, so I think Trump would take all 95.

April 26th:
Connecticut 28 proportional
Delaware 16 Winner take all
Maryland 38 Winner take all
Pennsylvania 71 proportional/WTA
Rhode Island 19 proportional

Trump is likely to pick up the lions share of these 172 delegates

May 3rd
Indiana 57 winner take all

May 10th
Nebraska 36
West Virginia 37

May 17th
Oregon 28 proportional
Washington 44 proportional

June 7th
California 172 winner take all
Montana 27 same
New Jersey 51 same
New Mexico 24 proportional
South Dakota 29 winner take all

Thank you, Tenn. Can you opine on #63? I am wondering if you were able to hear the Shakespearian Cruz thank Mitt?

I’ll be voting in the Connecticut April 26 primary. I’m hoping my vote puts Trump over the top. Good analysis.

Yes.

Certainly Cruz knows by now he is not going to win the Presidency.
He will not win enough delegates and the GOPe’s are not going to nominate him at a brokered convention.

He should also know that no one else but Trump has a chance to beat
Hillary.

Does Cruz really want to go back to the Senate, where he is hated?
Don’t think so. So his exit strategy must include working some deal
with Trump or back to the senate he goes.

So did the GOPe’s he is running against.

You hate Trump but love the GOP who have done nothing to stop Obama.

Trump cannot be blamed for any of the traitorous behavior the GOP
has shown to grassroots voters.

We keep electing the same GOP SOB’s who are responsible for
what is going on in DC. Insanity.

Trump is not responsible. The one you keep sending back are,

Just saw this on WSJ

http://www.wsj.com/articles/utah-republicans-open-caucuses-to-online-voters-1458324718

In what is expected to be one of the biggest online votes conducted so far in the U.S., Utah residents will have the option of casting ballots in the Republican presidential contest using computers, tablets and smartphones next week.

In-person caucuses and absentee voting also will remain options for GOP voters in the March 22 contest. Democrats aren’t offering an online option.

I think Cruz's quick and enthusiastic embrace of Mitt Romney's endorsement shows that he is establishment GOPe through-and-through.

I don't think that Mitt Romney understands that Slimus GOPeeus has been identified by the average American conservative...
