Emerson College Poll New York – Donald Trump 64%, Ted Cruz 12%, John Kasich 1%…

Posted on March 17, 2016 by sundance

Emerson College releases a poll today of New York voters (pdf article here). As a generally intelligent person might expect, candidate Donald Trump crushes second place Ted Cruz by 52 points. Trump earns 64% support, Cruz 12%, Kasich barely 1%.

From the PDF:

"Trump has the highest favorable ratings with GOP voters, 71%/23%, followed by Cruz at 52%/44% and Kasich at 54%/34%. Consistent with other primaries, Trump supporters are the most loyal, with 89% of those who see him favorably planning to cast their ballot for him. In contrast, only 21% of Republicans who have a favorable opinion of Cruz say they will vote for him."

Cruz could absorb all the votes from Kasich, Rubio, and undecideds, and would still lose New York to Trump. We'll probably find a similar story in all the nearby states as well. New York is winner take all with 95 delegates, voting in April.

Cruz is getting killed since kissing up to the BLM and other thugs. I am still waiting for this momentum the media gave for 2 weeks. Typical Cruz all talk no action. Says he’ll win big on Tuesday night and lost all six contests. Very similar to his results in congress....worthless.

Theyll probably write in Bloomberg as a protest vote against the Trump landslide.

If Kasich drops out, that will give Cruz the boost he needs to catch Trump.

The Donald is Doomed.

Doomed, I say!

DOOMED!!!

[You weren’t really going to take my post as serious and point out the math to me, that 12% plus 1% is 13%, which is still just a bit behind Trump’s 64%. Were you? Really?]

I have New York for Trump in all my projections anyway.

But there is a long time to go before New York votes.

BTW, where are the other 25% of the votes?

I always laugh when you act like you're doing calculations somewhere and have things all figured out.

Cruz at 12%.

There are a lot of Christians in NY,
but apparently not a lot of snake handlers.

But Cruz is the only one who has beaten and will beat Donald Trump. LOL. Game over.... except for the delusional.

Linda Graham endorsing him will not be helpful either.

Boy that is true. Glenn and Linda are the worst two people to have supporting him. I guess McCain is too but he’s too busy running for reelection to worry about Cruz.

Cruz doesn’t have a prayer in NY after his “NY values” snafu.

Cruz and Kasick both have no path to the nomination...they need to drop out & support Trump...this is a load of crap they are unloading on America.
