‘Just Shoot Them All,’ Say Moms Demand Action Activists About Texas Gun Rights Group

The presence of a gun rights group at the Texas State Capitol during President Obama’s visit to the SxSW festival elicited members of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense to call for gun violence against the group. Among other incitements to violence, “Just shoot them all,” and “Shoot the a**bags,” they said.

Moms Demand Action members posted, “Do[n]’t arrest them just shoot them, these people are crazy,” “Time to use an assault weapon on this trash,” “Just shoot them all…,” and “Mow them down.” Another added, “a**hats. no one has taken your guns. you are the ones causing problems. [P]lease just shoot each other.”

The founder of Open Carry Texas told Breitbart Texas, “It’s my belief that the reason the Moms Demand Action crowd are so opposed to guns in the hands of the public is because they obviously can’t be trusted with guns in public.”

C J Grisham, president and founder of Open Carry Texas (OCT), a Second Amendment and pro-gun group tweeted the group’s comments on their Facebook page commenting, “Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, for a group that is supposedly the halo’d angels of the gun debate,…”:

Reminds me of the "Million Mom March" in 2001 that the libs put together to try and get 1 million "Moms" to Washington DC for Mother's Day and march against gun violence.

In response, that year year myself and a friend of mine (Charles Stellmacher), got together and began brainstorming. Charles came up with the name for what we were thingking about, and then we went on and organized a counter "March". we called it the:

"Fifty Million Round March"

A LOT of FR people, and the site itself (FR) endorsed it and haleped plan it. You can probably find archived posts about it from back then...now 15 years ago!

It was meant for Fathers to take their children out on Father's day that year in answer to the Million Mom March, and all shoot at least fifty rounds per person, figuring that if one million people did so, we would safely discharge fifty million rounds.

It was held on Father's Day that year at gun ranges all over the country, and was a great success. We did it again on July 4th and again on Thanksgiving that year.

The NRA had me on NRA-Live that year when the leaders of the Million Mom March found out about our activity and began calling me all sorts of names, indicting that somehow we were acting acting like a Nazi.

In response to that, I displayed the following picture:

I still have parts of the old site up where we announced for the Fifty Million Round March and what all to do. Many members of Free Republic participated and helped make it the success it was.
