For 26 years, Rush Limbaugh has insisted that conservative values, clearly and passionately articulated, will win every time. By conservative values Rush meant: God, country, family, community, liberty, individualism, personal responsibility, limited government, and free markets. Reagan was the model, and the promise: it had happened once, and could happen again.
Easier said than done.

I think that Trump is drawing on the anger, resentment and the need for revenge by so many. And that is fine, but is a danger if the ideology of conservatism is tossed out. Then it becomes mob rule. I found a fancy term for that -
“Ochlocracy”.

Told by a fan that he wished he were Cary Grant, Grant responded “So do I.” Grant was being overly dramatic. In his case, the clothes did make the man; the Cockney Archie Leach finally was Cary Grant.
Not so for Rafael Edward Cruz. It did not have to end this badly. Had Cruz realized that conservatism is not a clearly articulated set of principles that must be imposed on a recalcitrant mass, but is instead the systematized expression of the yearning of individuals and peoples, as flawed and imperfect as they are, he might have been born aloft by the wave that is now carrying Donald Trump to the White House. He never said that conservatism doesn't matter, principle doesn't matter, or that Reagan doesn't matter.
Either you're not reading, or you're still pissed off that a certain candidate just blew his chances sky high by not blaming the totalitarian left for its violent extremism.
Just let it go, the article is actually pretty good if you try to understand what it said. Here's a money quote for you:

If Trump doesn’t win both Fl and Oh, and it goes to the convention... they will do all they can to remove him. I hope enough voters won’t let that happen. I hope you are right and Trump is our next President. This weekend and an organized take down.. I don’t know how many voters are not sheep and can be led in Cruz’s direction. I’d like an honest poll.. not sure there can be one.

Nor would the Establishment that has honed their knives since 1980 to keep someone like Reagan out.
They are now only using Cruz to stop Trump so they can once again deny the voters preference at the convention. It’s not like they ever intended on letting Cruz win the nomination
