The Hollow Man (Rush Limbaugh, Cruz & Conservatism)

For 26 years, Rush Limbaugh has insisted that conservative values, clearly and passionately articulated, will win every time. By conservative values Rush meant: God, country, family, community, liberty, individualism, personal responsibility, limited government, and free markets. Reagan was the model, and the promise: it had happened once, and could happen again.

Easier said than done.

Is there any proof of that?

So take him to court or are you all mouth and no action?

The DONEald is afraid to bring such a suit and instead has had several “beards” do his dirty bidding, all of which have been tossed on their ear.

Tuesday!

I am old-fashioned that way; I believe in voting on the day, in person, if at all possible.

I CANNOT WAIT.

I was so excited to see Jim's comment tonight – I assume everyone has seen it, but I've been out of the loop for a bit and just read it...

So you don’t mind having a natural born Canadian as president. I thought you said you stood on the principles of conservatism, one being the rule of law?

you might want to read this...

Don’t look now, but Trump is the only anti-establishment candidate left running. The GOPe is now backing Cruz to the hilt and he’s doing their bidding. Fiorino has come out for the GOPe big time, and is throwing all her schoolmarm charm Cruz’s way. Rubio’s a fricking amnesty traitor and Kasich is all in big government GOPe.

Thankfully, Carson has seen the light and so has Sessions and they’re backing Trump.

Cruz has let his ambition get the better of him and has lost it. He’s been thoroughly indoctrinated, corrupted and absorbed by those we’re fighting against. He’s now fighting with the GOP and the establishment political class against We the people.

And unfortunately, some of our very own have been unwittingly sucked into the GOPe vortex.

Please be serious and stop posting this drivel. The Constitution has no such definition, and when the 14th Amendment was ratified, there were not 50 states, nor did the 14th Amendment say that anyone born in this country is a citizen. That is, simply, like most of the nonsense your Messiah has told you to believe, a lie.

The courts will decide the issue of Cruz's eligibility, and that has nothing to do with why you dislike him. You dislike him because he is in the way of your God/Emperor. Period.

It's laughable (and frightening) how many supposed "conservatives" suddenly decided Ted Cruz was a "Canadian" simply because their Savior announced he was.

Apparently you haven't been paying attention to the Trump threads on FR that attack Limbaugh because in the opinions of the Drumpfster's Rush is insufficiently exuberant about TheDonald®

“FR is a Trumpkin cesspool.”

I notice you didn’t ping the owner of Free Republic to that statement.

I will speak for myself. When the NewYorkTimes of all liberal rags, exposed Rush secretly meeting with Schumer and Graham back in 2011 to get the talking points on amnesty... Rush sold out his credibility... And that has not one thing to do with his green-eyed envy of Trump. If one took the time to compare and contrast Rush and Trump's private lives, Trump is actually more conservative.

Good post.

> Come on, anyone who wants to be president in 2016 has to have something really wrong with them.

Right. Both Cruz and Trump have flaws.

> Cruz’s crazy accusation that Trump caused the rally violence...

I criticized that in a previous post too.

> “Trump may not have all of the bullet points in line, but the trust is there.” [article]

Trust in whom? Based on the context in the article, I believe the writer is referring to Trump’s trust in the people, but why should we believe he trusts us? The “you’re fired” guy projects an authoritarian personality. I see nothing other-directed about him. I see plenty of signs that he wants control, but not so many that he wants to give us control.

I find it hard to accept the claim that his aim in trying to become President is to give back to Americans what America has given him (not that this couldn’t be somewhere in the back of his mind as a secondary motive). Does he strike anyone as that kind of person? All his life he’s been bossing people around and obtruding himself upon the public eye. I believe it’s power and fame that attract him.

> How does this make sense? Why is the trust there? The only trust I have in him is that he is hated by a lot of the right people. And no, that doesn’t make me trust him.

Again, if the trust refers to trust in Trump, why should we trust him? He lacks the record of standing up against the left that Cruz has, and he continually contradicts himself. I like some of the things he says, but I’m not willing to give up my critical judgment and become a “follower”. I don’t trust him.

I’ll support either Trump or Cruz over Hillary, but there’s no way I’m going to associate Trump with trust.

Rushing to the GOPe

A signal to the money man Rush would be for NOBODY to tune into him tomorrow.... Kind of like a few weeks back when the Hispanic/Latinos left work for a day and marched around the capital in Madison, WI. But that won't happen, too many still consider him a voice of conservatism... Rush has become like that preacher for hire Balaam...

Your anger amazes me.

Along with your silliness.

I have no idea how you stick with this fraud of a "conservative" as he excuses the violence and the totalitarian nature of the left.

His latest ploy, blaming Trump for the violence of the totalitarians should have given you pause.

But it didn't.

Doesn't say much for your inability to think about the fake "conservative" you are supporting.

I once thought he was pretty good. I know longer want to hear what this fraud has to say. Like JR, I have very little use for what he has become.

That you don't see that yet, will eventually give you a great deal of heartache.

Like I said, your anger amazes me. You should learn to train it on a suitable target such as your current preference in candidates.

.. the difference between Ted Cruz and Donald Trump is that Ted Cruz looks out at a crowd and sees himself, while Trump looks into a mirror and sees the crowd.

I love this, excellent writer.

I loved Kung Fu too! 'Does the eagle envy the nest of the sparrow?', he he.
