Cruz: Responsibility in campaigns 'starts at the top'
The Hill ^ | 3/13/2016 | Rebecca Savransky

Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz said on Sunday that the protesters at rival Donald Trump's rallies are behaving "abusively and wrong," but added that it doesn't help when the GOP front-runner encourages violence.

"At the end of the day in any campaign, responsibility starts at the top," the Texas senator said on NBC's "Meet the Press" on Sunday.

"And it is not beneficial when you have a presidential candidate like Donald Trump telling his supporters, 'Punch that guy in the face.' We ought to have a president who brings us together, who doesn't seek to divide us."

Cruz said on Sunday that the protesters at Trump's rallies don't have a right to "threaten violence."

He added that it's important a candidate show respect for the voters.

Trump is the one that used that terminology and said he loves the “poorly educated.” https://www.yahoo.com/politics/trump-i-love-the-poorly-educated-144008662.html

In addition to voters that do regularly participate in elections, Trump is also getting votes from a segment of the population that doesn’t normally vote. Those people do not care about elections or politics and are not well-informed and are easily swayed. It’s the reality TV / Kardashian / Honey Boo Boo voters.

This is so backwards it’s mind boggling. The rage wasn’t on Trump’s supporters’ side. Haven’t you read any firsthand accounts? Trump’s supporters were trying to leave peacefully, and the leftist radicals were going crazy. They screamed ‘RACIST!’ at everybody, they pounded on cars and windows, they beat people. Trump’s supporters did none of this. The rage was all on the other side.

Wow. This feels like Alice Through the Looking Glass. Everything is backwards.

Oily Felito, cruzin’ the ooze. This guy is making enemies for life.

Willard levels of sanctimonious hypocrisy. Approaching Willard levels of “ah, hell NO!”

Realistically, statistically one cannot state the percentage that “sort of people” are by the actions of one person.

No one believes that there is just ‘one’ in those large crowds that are as angry.

He is also wrong about this. Bad manners and high emotions are not always triggered by the candidate. Sometimes they come from events that are long ago and far away.

I do want Trump to not wimp out where his leadership is on the line, but that does not apriori mean he should get charged for every offense.

What you believe is irrelevant. So far only one Trump supporter has attacked anyone. Unless you want to make thoughts and feelings a crime, you have only one perp on Trump’s side and thousands on the other side.

He did not side with disruptors, or attackers. He pointed out that the descriptive and attacking demeanor of Donald Trump has set a very negative tone to this election that bred this problem. You are ignoring the obvious!

Try actually reading his statement with an open mind, you seem to be so enraged at the world all you see is red.

Seriously, Trumps demeanor has been disgusting with his bimbo, looser racial comments, and I can disagree with his manor, yet still appreciate his good points.

I appreciate Ted’s class act, but I expect decorm from a standing Senator. Trump is a strip joint owner, Crass comes with the teroritory. It does not invalidate his points. His lack of diplomatic skills does have its consequences.

Ted pointed out a fault of Trumps that has a bearing on his ability to be a President, and as expected the Trump camp responded in rage, because that is all they are about, not reason or solutions.

But the rage, not matter how hot and heavy does not change the facts.

Can it be possible that these “Bernie Supporters” are NOT Bernie supporters but Hillary’s with the help of George Soros? {Kill 2 birds with 1 Stone}

I’ve been saying this since the Chicago incident. This is NOT Sanders’ MO. Sanders is a Fabian socialist. It has worked well for him. Further, he lacks the influence and probably the skills to vector a mob like this in.

I see three prime suspects with the will and the skill: the Obama administration; the Clinton machine; the neocon-Bush camp. The administration and the neocons have done exactly this in other countries, destabilizing them with bogus ‘color revolutions’. I think the same operational techniques are now being applied domestically.

Globalism is a murderous and metastasized threat to all nations. ALL nations.

‘He pointed out that the descriptive and attacking demeanor of Donald Trump has set a very negative tone to this election that bred this problem.’

May we assume Cruz pointed out that the same people who burned Ferguson are protesting Trump? Did the consistent conservative blame Trump for Ferguson, so as to be...you know, consistent?

Could be. I live in the Seattle area and there are a lot of Bern-out supporters here and they are radical as can be.

Very well said, bears repeating.

Reasoning is the first loss to anger.

If you want WAR, TV Star is the guy.
If you want revolution, Cruz is the guy.

Having experienced far too much war, I much prefer revolution.

give the thugs what they want

What they want is an excuse to get violent. You have the police haul them away without encouraging your people to punch them on the way out.

If that’s what you REALLY BELIEVE, rather than stating what you’re told to believe, then you really need to GO BACK there and ask people if it’s a good idea to be a Palestinian Apologist, as you are CLEARLY a Disrupter Apologist on this side of the planet.

If you don’t understand that, then perhaps you may understand this: Is a Palestinian Suicide Bomber that takes out 40 Israelis at a Tel Aviv cafe justified in his action, based on the ‘tone’ of Bibi’s statements?

If you answer no, then you agree with me (and not Cruz). If you answer yes, you REALLY need to go back and talk to some of the families of victims of just that.
