Cruz: Responsibility in campaigns 'starts at the top'
The Hill ^ | 3/13/2016 | Rebecca Savransky

Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz said on Sunday that the protesters at rival Donald Trump's rallies are behaving "abusively and wrong," but added that it doesn't help when the GOP front-runner encourages violence.

"At the end of the day in any campaign, responsibility starts at the top," the Texas senator said on NBC's "Meet the Press" on Sunday.

"And it is not beneficial when you have a presidential candidate like Donald Trump telling his supporters, 'Punch that guy in the face.' We ought to have a president who brings us together, who doesn't seek to divide us."

Cruz said on Sunday that the protesters at Trump's rallies don't have a right to "threaten violence."

He added that it's important a candidate show respect for the voters.

This is not a repeat. Cruz is again making the rounds today with Kasich toeing the liberal line of attack that it's all Trump's fault that MoveOn and BLM are organizing coordinated violent disruptions of Trump events.

He also called Trump voters low information and unengaged.
He is as divisive as Obama.

He must not have read Clarice Feldman this morning for doubling down on this. She eviscerated him.

Funny how it didn’t start at the top when Cruz was blaming CNN and firing staffers for his misdeeds.

This guy is such a liar and hypocrite.

Cruz compared Trump to OBAMA’s outrageous, often repeated calls for Black violence!

This is cruz selling out just like he did on TPA and the corker bill. He would be singing a different tune if the thugs took him serious enough to disrupt his campaign events.

Does that include when staffers sending misleading messages about other candidates? One time may be ok. Multiple times indicates something wrong at the top.

Cruz just reeks of sleazy lawyer, talking out of both sides of his mouth simultaneously.

Lawyers are taught to the any side of any argument at any time regardless of what the truth is. Combined with his years of competitive debate, Cruz cannot suppress the urge to be manipulative.

Cruz did not blame Sanders for the behavior of his supporters, but instead blames Trump....what a guy.

Cruz needs to get real and realize the Trump disruptions are typical Communist-Progressive anarchist tactics used to take out an opponent.

Political Correctness at work: Control the narrative and minimize the effectiveness of an opponent.

It starts “at the top except” when they lied about Ben Carson was “Dropping out” . Then it was “I know nothing” . What a phoney.
