(CNSNews.com) Attorney General Loretta Lynch acknowledged Wednesday that there have been discussions within the Department of Justice about possibly pursuing legal action against so-called climate change deniers.
This matter has been discussed. We have received information about it and have referred it to the FBI to consider whether or not it meets the criteria for which we could take action on, Lynch said at a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on Justice Department operations.
Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) raised the issue, drawing a comparison between possible civil action against climate change deniers and civil action that the Clinton administration pursued against the tobacco industry for claiming that the science behind the dangers of tobacco was unsettled.
The similarities between the mischief of the tobacco industry pretending that the science of tobaccos dangers was unsettled and the fossil fuel industry pretending that the science of carbon emissions dangers is unsettled has been remarked on widely, particularly by those who study the climate denial apparatus that the fossil fuel industry has erected, Whitehouse said.

It is all about the ComDem agenda. Their intent from the beginning was to destroy the freedom of the US and redistribute wealth to the Commie World.
THAT, is the reason it seems so insane to US and they think it is perfectly acceptable.
It is all about their Agenda. They don’t even admit being Totalitarians.

They will go broke on my medical expenses. The budget for medications for Climate Scam Deniers is quite meager. A severe rationing will be enforced.

So they are they going to jail millions of us? What is denial? Is asking a question constitute denial?
FWIW, there is a case already against Mark Steyn from the fabricator Michael Mann. It will be interesting if it ever goes to court.

Mark Steyn is in court mopping the floor with NASAs Michael Elevator Shoes Mann.Last time I heard Mark Steyn talk about his suit he didn't sound real happy with the DC courts. Have you heard otherwise, or just a fan?

NAZIS !!!
Isn't it interesting that this same DOJ NEVER entertained the notion of criminalizing Holocaust denial? David Duke and Louie Fairycan would be playing "drop the soap" with each other UNDER the prison.

Insofar as “climate change” has become a religion, of sorts, to the liberals, I can see climate change advocates adopting some the tenets of sharia law, I.e....”you accept MY religion, or you will be PUNISHED!”.
What, exactly, would these deniers be charged with by the law? I mean Obama is already “fining us” by spending our tax money on Rube Goldberg plans to “fight” global warming. And only God and the government know how many expensive regulations have been put on the American people under the guise of “fighting global warming”.
With a government who spends all of its time figuring how to punish its people, how can anyone deny that the Obama government is slowly pushing us toward flat out dictatorship/communism?

No, and in the end the question boiled down to who needs to take responsibility the user of the product or the producer? We all know eating McDonalds every day will likely kill you, but, or at least not yet, has anyone tried to sue the golden arches.

Spring is in the air, time for the DOJ to pursue legal action against climate change deniers. Come the Fall, it will be legal action against La-Presidenta Clinton deniers.
(I'm guilty on both counts.)

Hypocritical bastards. So is a kayak enthusiast not just as culpable for destroying the planet, for employing a product that used some gallons of earth destroying animal juice?
