Yep, one of Ted's old roommates (or classmates) was right, everything he does is calculated. His truce and positive period was Trump was pure calculation and Ted followed in Trump's wake, then began to needle Trump and began to move away, then he became vicious and dishonest in how he characterized Trump, and what Trump would do as president.
I think Ted might discover in the coming years that his only path to the Oval Office was in Trump's wake, and he's probably blown it now.
It’s not just tariffs. It’s the entire trade deficit. Mexico is leeching utility from us and has been for a long time.
And Trump has said that if they want that to continue, then they’d better pony up some dough. Otherwise... very nice economy they have there. Shame if something were to happen to it.
Reduced in power as we are, the US can still economically crush Mexico without even trying hard.
If Cruz is a faux-conservative I’d sure like to hear who you think a real conservative is because it sure ain’t abortion loving, gun control loving, Obamacare loving, John Kerry lovin’ Trump.
Now, I realize real conservatism is pretty much dead in this country; I’ve realized it since ‘06 and this Trump route is probably the only way forward for continuing some semblance of a Republic. I just didn’t think we’d devolve into the Idiocracy model so fast.

Ted lost a lot of us way back at TPA/TPP.
His credibility has only gone more and more downhill since, with each deal-breaker we’ve discovered.
In one word, polling. If it’s as bad as I think it might be (and tonight isn’t going to help), he might do it in order to save face, and run for Governor in ‘18.

And when you do, remember this was a “press conference” wrapped around a watch party which Trump used as a slightly toned-down version of his standard campaign rally. All of which was carried live and uninterrupted on CNN and perhaps other networks too. Another million dollars worth of free PR, and probably to a YUGE audience compared with how many typically watch him online. Stategic brilliance continues.
