A not-insignificant endorsement from one of our most brilliant business leaders.

Hardly the sort of thing an “Outsider” candidate should be courting.

GE. You cannot get more intertwined with the US government than them.
That said I respect Welch.

This is a good endorsement for Cruz. Welch is long retired and highly respected.

Well, Welch was one of the names floated by Trump for Treasury Secretary - so I think HE cares.

As a Cruz fan I find this to be a negative endorsement. GE has been on the front lines of Crony Capitalism for some time now and that was largely under Welch’s leadership.
To: angcat
Really who cares. If the endorsement of a major businessman is no big deal, why are we paying any attention to Trump's business sense?

If you were party to some of GE’s business decisions during Jack’s era you wouldn’t consider him brilliant. GE’s success was due to concentrating on products with little competition so the sky high margins covered up management screw ups.
It’s easy to make money when you’re working on a 100% markup.

Jack’s not exactly a moron but charging out the ass for leading edge products covers a multitude of mgt. sins.
