COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho - Just before 2:00 p.m. Coeur d'Alene police responded to the parking lot of the Altar Church at 9th and Best in Coeur d'Alene, for a shooting. The male victim was transported to Kootenai Medical Center with multiple gunshot wounds. His condition is unknown at this time.
Parishioners of the Church tell KXLY that the pastor is Tim Remington and that he was shot in the back seven times. That has NOT been confirmed with police.
Coeur d'Alene Police say the suspect in the shooting ran away before they arrived and has not been located.
They have no description at all of the shooter?
That’s sad. I can’t imagine that it was because of politics. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see...
We should probably wait for more details before throwing out wild theories.
Today, just before 2:00 p.m. Coeur d’Alene Police responded to the parking lot of the Altar Church for the report of a shooting that had just occurred. In the parking lot of the Altar Church, at the intersection of Ninth and Best, police located a male victim with multiple gunshot wounds.
Police have not confirmed the victim’s identity, but witnesses at the scene say it was Pastor Tim Remington, the church’s leader. Remington gave the invocation at presidential candidate Ted Cruz’s rally at the county fairgrounds yesterday here in Coeur d’Alene.
Police report the victim was transported to Kootenai Medical Center where he is being treated for his injuries. The victim’s condition is not known at this time.
The suspect in the shooting fled prior to police arrival and has not been located. Police Detectives are on scene and this is an active investigation.

The world’s gotten crazier and nothing sets them off like politics. Not saying it is, but you can’t rule it out, not on the very next day.

Our prayers for the preacher. I can’t believe it is political, churches often have “personal” conflicts, internal divisions and external enemies with a case of the crazies.
