Former Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura said Monday that he is willing to step into the presidential race if Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders doesn't win the presidential nomination.
"They're setting the groundwork for me because if Bernie loses, by the time we get to June, how sick are the people going to be of all these people," the former professional wrestler and Navy SEAL told the Daily Beast.
Ventura ran for governor of Minnesota in 1998 as a member of Ross Perot's Reform Party, and served in the position until 2003. He said that Sanders and Donald Trump are "ripping him off" with their campaigns centered around radical, outsider ideas.
"See, I'm an Independent and I despise the two parties," Ventura said. "I love what Trump's doing to the Republicans. He's got them in complete disarray. In fact, it looks like the WWE when you watch their debates."

I am so ticked at the GOPe, I would go for a Trump/Ventura ticket just to stick it in their eye.
OK, one more time:
Jesse Ventura went through BUDS but at the time SEALs did not exist. They were still referred to as “UDT”.
I met a guy who had lived in the Minnesota town where Jesse Ventura was Mayor. Said he actually did a terrific job. Cleaned up the budget, cut taxes, etc. What happened??
Go Jesse. Give Smellery hell
Trump in many ways is like Jesse Ventura.
Go Jesse, go. Draw as many Hellary voters as possible.
He got Saint Paul disease.
I get that and understand it. What I don’t get is people that think Trump will be a conservative president.
He grew a skippy ponytail while having a receding hair line.
No one believes Trump will be a Conservative President.
NO ONE.
What you're missing is that people are so fed up with Washington DC and thirty plus years of GOP/GOP-E empty promises that they're ready to blow up the party because of it.
Trump is just the mechanism to do it. Nothing more.
“What I dont get is people that think Trump will be a conservative president.”
I disagree. I think most Trumpateers just don’t care and that’s worrisome.
They are so angry with the party they’re more concerned with pi$$ing off the man than they are with putting the best man/women in the White House.
It’s a decision driven by raw emotion and emotional decisions most generally turn out to be poor ones.
Trump-Ventura 2016? Jesse Ventura would consider it

When you start referencing the movie Idiocracy and comparing it to current events, things have gone horribly wrong. / sarc
Maybe Jesse can join Bloomberg and start the Nutjob party.
Jesse is the only one that could physically body slam her.

AFAIK, the missions and training were/are the same.
In WWII, they were called Rangers, so what?
Climb this cliff with your bare hands under enemy fire with a knife in your teeth and kill the bastards waiting for you at the top, and we'll talk more about your "label."
I said during the last debate that the only things missing was Scott Walker sneaking out from the back and whacking Trump over the head with a chair and “Your new moderator, Vince McMahon!”
Imany people would vote for Ventura, nutty as he can be, over Hillary the Liar, any day. (More folks than maybe we’d imagine )
IF he went through BUDS he can call his service whatever he wants, IMO.
Correct. Conservative, not really. Populist, yes. I think we’re so far off the rails, we need something like this to get stabilized (e.g. Wall, Border, Trade, Jobs), then we can have the luxury of going back to a typical conservative/liberal debate.
Think of Britain and WWII. Churchill had many flaws, but he was the right man for the time. After victory, Churchill was removed as PM pretty fast.
I think we need a bull in the china shop to really shake up DC for a few years and break the back of the Establishment.
