These new Trump poll numbers should absolutely terrify Republicans [correction: GOPe Pubs]
Washington Post ^ | 2/29/2016 | Greg Sargent

If Republicans are going to have any hope of stopping the runaway train otherwise known as Donald Trump, it may rest on their ability to limit the breadth of his appeal. A single alternative to Trump — most likely Marco Rubio — could conceivably coalesce enough support among well educated, relatively affluent, more moderate Republicans

"Rubio could conceivably coalesce enough support among well educated, relatively affluent"

But not among the well educated, relatively affluent rank-and-file LESS moderate Republicans who are REALLY, REALLY p!ssedoff at the GOPe sellout of our country in favor of keeping the gravy train rolling for themselves, what with all of those D.C. shrimp cocktail and caviar soirées, free jet trips around the world, free five-start hotel living, free five-star restaurant dining, and all the major sporting event skyboxes they choose to occupy, all at taxpayer and lobbyist expense.

And it's not JUST conservatives, and it's not JUST Republicans: there's a GROUNDSWELL of p!ssedoffness that radiates far beyond just those traditional groups.

After the petty and embarrassing attacks by Rubio which made me cringe, I’ll never vote for him under any circumstances.

It is interesting to note that the Left considers the French Revolution to be a good thing but both Left and Right consider the Conservative Revolution a bad thing.

Seven years of Obama have left us with a toxic political environment. It is important to remember that, and to try and be patient with one another over the next 48 hours.

That’s how it starts.

What’s interesting is, they listened to a rabid populist named Robspierre generated a mass movement to kill the monarchy to establish a “Republic” under a man which led to the dictatorship of Napoleon.

In America 2016 we have a rabid populist generating a mass movement to kill the oligarchy and establish a monarchy under a man which will further a permanent dictatorship in the Executive.

Trump sure scares the Compost.

They're terrified that Trump can conceivably beat Hillary and are demanding that Republicans do something about this.

The more they stamp their feet and threaten to hold their breath, etc. the more you question, what is it about Trump that has them so fearful?

It’s more than what’s on the surface. It is not something that the public is even aware of. It has got to be much deeper than that...earth shattering in fact.

We have got to start digging deeper into their fear.

Riiiiiight!

The guy who battles with the other guy for 3rd place is going to be the single alternative?

Reconsider after tomorrow, after the new delegate counts are made available. That 'single alternative' will be lucky to have two dozen, while Trump could be nearing 500.

Climate change did the rulers in, too...lol, it was extreme cold that interrupted the growing seasons.
