Limbaugh et al. exposed "gaslighting" audiences for illegal amnesty advocates?!?!~
The Conservative Treehouse ^ | 02/28/2016 | sundance

Posted on 02/28/2016 1:58:10 AM PST by vikingrinn

"We already knew the aspect of Fox News via Rupert Murdoch, Roger Ailes, Sean Hannity and Bill O’Reilly meeting with Chuck Schumer, Lindsey Graham and Marco Rubio capturing promises to deliver favorable opinion for immigration reform. – Outlined HERE – We also knew, and wrote about how Fox Executives manipulated program content (including the blacklisting of amnesty critics) to support the collective agenda.

However, we did not know how far the scope of the influence was extended, nor did we know Rush Limbaugh was a direct participant willing to defraud his audience. We also did not know that Laura Ingraham and Mark Levin were lobbied to participate.

How would we know? How would anyone know? They never told their audience.

None of the aforementioned pundits ever disclosed the nature or content of the lobbying, nor their own independent determination whether to go along with the agenda, or remain willfully blind thereby benefitting it in omission.

In hindsight we can only accept their willingness to remain silent, as affirmation of their willful blindness to the overall agenda.

However, now we do know, many things make a lot more sense about how reactionary all the “conservative” pundits were when candidate Donald Trump announced his immigration platform to include a border wall, deportation and strict enforcement of immigration law. Now we know why most pundits reacted with such disdain.

Their opposition, heck, their knee jerk attacks upon Trump for proposing immigration enforcement, seemed stunning in June/July 2015; but now takes on an entirely new light."

This article is rubbish and shouldn’t be spread round like peanut butter on toast. You could gag on it.

Limbaugh and Hannity are on the side that protects their gravy train. They have been living high on the hog for so long they are like the people in Washington protecting their money and power. I don’t recognize those two anymore.

We’ve been co-opted by this lightweight, tea-party con-artist named Marco Rubio. Who vetted this conman? Who gives any deference to his candidacy? What is doing in the race after Florida?

Fascinating discussion. Thanks to all linkers, posters, researchers, educators.

WHO are the elites on the airwaves?

I voted for Rubio as senator! I heard what he said and bought it. Thought we had a solid conservative. When he was working with the Gang of 8, I thought he was still the “solid conservative” and working for our interest, for America’s best interest. Found out later that Rubio is a sell out and a liar.

Many were fooled. I think even Rush was fooled.

I have been getting that Rush is lost vibe for a while now. When I started noticing it was back during the Bundy Ranch stand off March 2014 when Bundy’s cattle were captured and removed by the Bureau of Land management and there was a days long standoff with militia in Nevada and it dominated news headlines. Mr. Rush I talk about the news Limbaugh never mentioned it once. I thought it very strange he didn’t even bring it up once. I was never so disappointed in him and now when I do happen to listen to him I keep what he says at a distance. The fact that Limbaugh is having secret meetings with Chucky Schumer will have a chilling effect on the audience that brought Rush to the top. I let my 24/7 subscription go when it was up. I can listen to him for free if I want but not paying anymore. He isn’t even funny anymore. What I loved was the humor and updates. He never does that stuff anymore.

PING

There is a new Gang of Eight that is out to stop or attack the Republican base.

It includes Rush, along with Megyn Kelly and some FOX and NR Chamber of Commerce

Details of the dinner, and a previous one in 2011, were provided to The New York Times by an attendee of one of the meetings and two people with knowledge of what was discussed at both get-togethers.

None of the attendees agreed to be identified for this article because the conversations were supposed to be confidential.

No. I call him a lunatic because he slanders people regularly and calls it reporting.

Be a discerning reader and separate his wheat from his chaff. You can write him off, I will read what he has to say. None of them get it right all the time. At least you know when you read Sundance how he feels, he tells you straight away. I know Levin calls him a kook too, but Levin should not throw stones because he is not right all the time either.

“Baa haa, what a demented fantasy.?

Did you read what Limbaugh said about Rubio? A disciple of Reagan, a full-throated conservative, and that is AFTER his push for the Gang of Eight bill and his constant push for amnesty for “dreamers”.

As a long-time listener of Limbaugh, I have been literally stunned at what he says, the deception he has been engaged in. I have decided to listen to him, in the sense of monitoring him, until the primaries are wrapped up. It will not be pleasant. Then, I will never tune him in. The whole situation is sick. It is sad to see someone piss away a lifetime of credibility for absolutely nothing. Maybe he was underhanded all along.

So, you are a strong Rubio supporter and believe these attacks against his character are unfounded?

Rush will have SOME EXPLAINING TO DO based on this article.

No doubt he’ll try to discredit it - but it does EXPLAIN A LOT - particularly his blinding-love for Rubio (at times), and his ability to ‘compartmentalize’ Rubio’s Gang-of-Eight leadership while spouting Rubio’s ‘great life story’ across the fruited (but dying) plain.

You treehousers are denigrating two politicians with a 100 and 98 percent lifetime pro conservative records......for the above con artist

Maybe it’s you people that are off lately.

I don’t like Rubio a bit. I disagree strongly with his gang of 8 shenanigans. BUT, I did not lose all respect until he started this campaign and started lying about what he did. You could swallow the first betrayal as his being new to the Senate. As being hoodwinked. But it became clear that it was a calculated lie only this year, and I mean later this year as the campaign wore on.

It is unwise to toss out a friend on most issues who disagrees with you on only one issue. You may refuse to vote for him again. You may refuse to vote for him for certain offices. But as long as he is honest, you can deal with it, especially for as long as he still holds the powerful seat of U.S. Senator from Florida.

So Rush was nice to him. Big deal. The full picture of Rubio’s deceptive ways did not show up until recently. The gang of 8 was bad. Very bad. But other bills will present themselves before he leaves that office. Rush being polite does not mean Rush supported the gang of 8.

Actually I think I read an even more recent transcript where Rush was defending Rubio on something or other. I didn’t like it because I now see Rubio as a man of poor character — a deceiver. But apparently Rush does not. He wants to take what he sees as good and keep it even while he still criticizes Rubio for the amnesty thing.

Me? I want Rubio to go crawl under a rock and disappear. I am not going to trash Rush for disagreeing with that.

“I think Free Republic has been inundated with agent provocateurs as well.”

More like paid operatives an NOT for Cruz, but for the other candidates that want to have the convention pick the candidate.

In other words, have the GOPe pick the candidate - resurrects Jeb and others.

“Seems to me Rush has taken a side...”

It is Cruz, always has been. He has never said a word of criticism of Cruz. Limbaugh took a few swipes at TPA, but NEVER mentions that Cruz helped get it rolling, and both Cruz and Rubio voted for it.

Limbaugh took swipes at the Corker bill, but NEVER mentions that Cruz and Rubio voted for it.

On the contrary, he will point out that Cruz NEVER works with the establishment, and that the establishment has a special hatred for Cruz.

Why should they? When the rubber meets the road, Cruz and Rubio both lay back their ears and join in with the establishment.
