If Rubio Loses Florida on Tuesday, Then The Republicans Will Reintroduce Mitt Romney (Vanity)
02/28/16

Posted on 02/28/2016 1:27:49 AM PST by Enlightened1

If Marco Rubio loses in Florida on Super Tuesday, then expect the Republican Establishment/Globalist to roll out Plan C...., Mitt Romney.

They will slip Mitt Romney in via a brokered Republican Convention in Cleveland. This is even though Mitt Romney never got a single vote in Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, Nevada, etc...

Expect lots of dirty tricks about Trump between today and Tuesday. The Establishment/Globalist are throwing everything they have at Trump including the kitchen sink.

Just know if Jeb, Rubio or any other Establishment candidate was winning like Trump, then the Establishment media would be telling us this race is over.

I use to enjoy, as a kid watching the conventions on small b&w TV. I guess that was before primaries?

Rubio can’t lose Florida on March 1, “Super Tuesday,” because the Florida primary is on March 15th. We will see 20 million dollars in anti-Trump advertising advocacy in the interim, and the press is going to continue its all-out assault.

This is an insane idea. If the establishment does this, a new party will arise, because the GOP will have proved itself to be just as narcissistic as the rich Democratic masters are. The common people need to rise up and set this government straight. This is what we get when our Constitution is trashed and laws no longer matter. Mitt Romney needs to stay at home in his mansion where he can amuse himself with the elevators he built to move his fleet of cars from floor to floor because this election is not a game to be played by and for the rich. It is the future of America we are talking about here. I am so glad I registered as an Independent many years ago. The establishment GOP has attracted people I cannot support anymore.

You need to change your fake name from enlightened to something else. You are completely clueless.

First, Florida's primary is not on Super Tuesday.

Second, a brokered convention can only happen if no one has 50% + 1 delegate. If Trump has a majority of the delegates going into the convention, Trump wins. It is that simple and uncomplicated. The delegates are required by law to vote for their candidate.

It appears that Trump is going to run away with the primary wins and should have no problem winning on the first ballot, which has been the norm since the 1950s.

My suggestion is for you to ask the moderator to delete your needless and embarrassing vanity.

There was a time that FreeRepublic was populated with knowledgeable and interesting posters and vanity threads were thoughtful. Now...well, I'll let it go at that.

Stop it. You have been told direct by a number of posters that there is not going to be a brokered convention. Take a pill and get to bed. What an idiot.

I did, as I read on, I saw that the date correction had been pointed out and acknowledged.

I've seen both the Roger Stone video, that the GOP would foist Romney on the primary if Rubio loses FL - Romney could get on a couple late primaries, notably California and New Jersey; and the timeline that shows the deadlines for third party general election entry (Texas in May, North Carolina in June, others later but time is still short).

Both are plausible possibilities. Not that Romney could necessarily take the nomination directly, he'd be in too few states, but his entry in Mid March could affect the vote split between Trump and the "Romney surrogate" who is in other states. I see that as magical thinking by the GOP, but they can't know if they don't try.

The option of entry as third party in the general amounts to abandoning the GOP to Trump, with the failed politicians assembling under a new label ostensibly aligned against the DEMs. I think that effort would fail too, even though it might get 15-25% support.

More likely is the Reagan scenario, where party insiders attempt to co-opt the presidency. Another possibility is to allow a term or two of limited insurgency, and simply obstruct Trump in office, by all means.

Have you ever heard of “Vanity”? It’s called an opinion threadon Free Republic genius!

Oh so now you want to delete accounts with Freepers you do not agree with. Please tell me what it’s like to be right all the time and everyone else is wrong and must be silent?

BTW, when was the last time you donated to Free Republic?

First, see post # 8 on the Florida vote date.

Second, you are arguing with Roger Stone. A political insider who ran and won 8 political Presidential campaigns. He served for 4 U.S. Presidents (Nixon, Ford, Reagan, Bush). Oh but I’m sure you know more than Roger Stone does about the Republican conventions, the rules, delegates exc.....(sarcasm off). After all you are an expert right?

Third, what I’m saying is on top Left of Drudge right now. I did not know that until someone pointed it out because I went to Free Republic first.

At the link scroll down to “Watch the Full Interview”, and you will see Roger Stone say it.

http://drudgereport.com/

If anyone is clueless, then it’s you in my estimate. You should not let your emotions TRUMP your thinking.

What I’m saying is going viral all over the Internet. I’m just adding for discussion as “VANITY”. Meaning my opinion genius!

BTW, you are arguing with Roger Stone who ran 8 Presidential Campaigns? How many Presidential Campaigns have you run?

I guess we will know for sure in times.

There are so many rules, tricks, etc... It takes a good political lawyer to understand it.

Why, she’ll be for a unity ticket, of course!

Seriously, however right she is this time around, her sticking stubbornly to her choice in ‘12 undermines the effectiveness of her voice.

I suggested you ask the moderator to delete your vanity, not your account. We have told you a brokered convention is not possible at this point. It is way too late in the game for another candidate to enter. I don't have the time to explain, but basically, Romney is not going to siphon support from Trump, but from other candidates, which means it will be even easier for Trump to win and many of the primaries from March 15 are winner take all.

Why do you let a few people quoted in a few articles scare you so bad? You really need to read more and not post. It is better for all.

Mittens Romney at this late date would really tick off the voters on the Republican side. Who would vote for that loser? Answer, the suicidal Stupid Party is willing to throw the election to the Donkeys so that Trump is not the nominee. That IS how desperate they are. What a pack of fools. The current elite Establishment RINOs need to go the way of the Whigs.

What will Ann Coulter do?

Throw Christie in the mix, and she'll really be in a pickle.
