Breaking— CRUZ CAMPAIGN STAFFER SAYS CAMPAIGN IS DONE —

ted cruz

A Ted Cruz campaign staffer today told CNN the campaign is done. “His Campaign is done.”

“The Cruz campaign has to focus on getting basic campaign techniques right,” said a Republican operative who works for the presidential campaign, who asked not to be identified. “I don’t think Cruz can win the nomination at this point. I think his campaign is done.”

Cruz took a huge blow on Saturday after he could not win a single county in South Carolina, a state with an enormous evangelical vote.

If you are truly of this party, you shouldn’t require any rallying to vote for the party’s nominee-whoever it is.

“Even more to the point is that we’ve learned that Cruz doesn’t exercise good discernment in judging people and selecting his staff.’

But he did when he won Texas. I haven’t checked, but I’m pretty sure it was the same core team he had then.

75 percent of voters were Evangelicals. Trump whipped Cruz's ass. You can't blame the Democrats for this one.

Wrong. That's just the media trying to simplify it.
Born agains - those who actually practice their faith, all went for Cruz.

Those who said they were Christians but don't practice it went for Trump. (It's a "Number 2 Corinthians" thing.)

Most Dems are just crazy enough that they won’t waste a vote that could be given to either Hillary or Bernie. The ones I know strongly support one or the other anti American Dem candidate. If it makes you feel better thinking that Trump won by Dems who don’t want him to make America better, who am I to burst your bubble.

“The biggest thing Cruz will learn from this whole thing is who to trust and not trust.”

This comes from leadership and executive/managerial experience, of which he has none. That said, he would make a fine SCOTUS member.

I like both Trump and Cruz, but I’m a Trump supporter.

That said, this staffer needs to be fired. It is too early to give up. I think Trump has a clear path to victory, but Cruz’s path lies in out-dueling Rubio at this point in time. He needs to beat Rubio in every SEC state. Then it will be Cruz and Trump. A victory on SEC over Rubio will show that Rubio has no path to victory in the extremely important red state south.

Doubt there was that much staunch Dem crossover this past weekend, unless they intend to vote for DT in the General.

Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding!

We have a winner.

Why yes. Yes they do.

Nothing has happened to Obama under Republican leadership. Obama has corrupted (Chicagoized) DC beyond belief and no one has stopped him.

Not referring to myself personally.

But the fact is one who repeatedly p*sses in their own swimming pool should not be surprised when other swimmers start climbing out.

The Pope turned many of those evangelicals into voters for Trump. They don’t like to see any foreign religious leader getting involved with our election—and that goes triple for leaders of the Catholic church like the Pope.

Protestant evangelicals have been anti-Catholic ever since the Republic was formed, citing suspicions that the Pope would interfere. It took decades for this issue to subside, defeating Al Smith and finally put to bed by JFK.

But what the Pope said gave a boost to those evangelicals who have retained doubts about the Catholic church and I think many of them voted for Trump to express that feeling.

Sorry, but the numbers don’t bear out your thesis. Fully 1/3 of Evangelical voters went for Trump.

Someone else said 50%, which would be 1/2. How do either of you people know this?

Both Ds and Rs have too much at stake right now to bother with crossover voting.

As if crossover voters care what either party think or are bothered with.

Trump pulls quite a lot of support from Democrats. They like him. Many of them are personality driven, and they like him. Many Democrats do not like Hillary and don't think Bernie has a chance. How many would rather vote for Trump?

I predict most of his votes beyond Cruz are Democrats. I also believe that perhaps 1/3 of his voters could be evangelicals, because they too sense he can win the general.

A lot of voters would prefer to be winners over being consistent.

I am not plugging for Cruz on this though he is my candidate, most all candidates run one time if not more before they become the nominee. Reagan ran in ‘68 and ‘76 and then ‘80. So, if Cruz does eventually suspend his campaign, I hope he takes it in stride. I really think he needs to finish 2nd in Nevada.
