This young woman is representative of the results of the "helicopter parenting" that our society has indulged in over the past 20-30 years.
By that I mean the highly-structured and over-supervised childhoods in which every moment needs to be scheduled for a specific activity, be it "play-dates", dance class, soccer practice, music lesson, etc. Children are cocooned in their highly structured and safe environments. Thus they are never exposed to adversity or any kind of danger in which they need to fend for themselves.
The end result is that they end up as the delicate flowers like the young woman on this YouTube video.
