Donald Trump: Ted Cruz 'Is Sick'
CNN ^ | 1:10 AM ET, Tue February 23, 2016 | Jeremy Diamond

Donald Trump on Monday night once again ratcheted up his attacks on Sen. Ted Cruz, calling his GOP presidential rival "sick."

"This guy is sick. There's something wrong with this guy," Trump said Monday night as he slammed Cruz for the senator's campaign tactics, including the attack ads Cruz and his allies have run against Trump.

Cruz's campaign has run several ads scrutinizing Trump's record on a variety of issues important to conservatives.

Trump has repeatedly slammed Cruz since the Texas senator surged in the polls ahead of the Iowa caucuses and has since ramped up his attacks on him since Cruz beat Trump in the Iowa contest.

Campaigning in South Carolina last week, Trump also called Cruz "unstable" and "a basket case."

Trump also pointed out Monday that he beat Cruz out for the most support among evangelical voters in the South Carolina primary and said evangelicals voted against Trump because "they don't like liars."

"They're really smart people. They don't want to vote for a liar," Trump said Monday to a crowd of thousands packed into a Las Vegas arena.

Cruz, who has sought to position himself as the one "true conservative" in the race, has ramped up his attacks about Trump, bashing the Republican frontrunner for his "New York values" and suggesting Trump is not conservative.

It’s going to take more than talk to bring back the country and Cruz and Rubio are barely capable of getting through a debate.

“...he didn’t call Trump sick, a serial adulterer, a cradle robber talk about his incent fantasies about Ivanka, and so on.”

Neither has Trump.

No, people like you Trump supporters are being heavily influenced by what big media says about Cruz and Trump. You’ve nought in to their narrative.

The MSM wants Trump and they are currently holding back their attacks on Trump.

I heard a clip from Trumps rally last night where he was literally yelling that Cruz was the biggest liar to ever live, or something to that effect. Then I read this morning that he wanted to punch a protester in the face.

The man is delusional and paranoid. It's past time for his children to take him home and get him the help he needs before he has a catastrophic neurological event. Surely there is somebody close to him that actually cares about him more than his money.

lol Who or whom is having the neurological disconnects? :) All part of the plan until its not. I think Trump is surprised at how well this continues to work.

If you watch enough of him, he is claiming that this is how he must run for now, and that the ads Cruz has up and the calls paint him far worse than his demonstrated "demeanor" in personally responding and shooting back. So he defends in person FOR FREE instead of behind nameless Super PACs with their "moneyball" targeted advertising and thus he completely owns his "political candidate that does what must be done" brand in real time!

Meanwhile, another week ticks off the calendar, and Trump has plenty of material self made by the other campaigns to get him by with the current strategy.

Perhaps you can get me banned. The only reason I have followed your posts is that we’re often on the same threads. Therefore I see your posts whether I want to or not [if we had an ignore function, trust me you’d be on it]. So I guess you’ll just have to try to get me banned.

“Trump ... said evangelicals voted against Trump because ‘they don’t like liars.’”

Doesn’t this guy have an editor? Bassackwards writing. Not real likely Trump said evangelicals voted against Trump because “they don’t like liars.”

Some of you are so politically naive. Go do some research on past presidential campagins and you will find some really ugly stuff. Politics isn’t about being a wussie, it’s a down and dirty fight - mud slinging, etc. It isn’t for the faint of heart, so, if these things offend you, maybe you should take up another hobby.

So, he said “something like that,” huh? You didn’t listen to the entire thing then or have selective hearing if you can’t quote what he said. If rought and tumble politics offend you - then find something else to do. Cruz is a liar - and it has been proven.

A reasonable post. One thing however.

“Ted Cruz is a good man that let his campaign heads direct narrative.”

If one doesn’t like a candidate, the candidate owns every aspect, every wrong, very word. If one likes a candidate, it’s his staff which he has no control over.

When these smartest folks in the world get in some sort of trouble, they have no memory, they read it in the paper, didn’t know until it was too late..

Again, if liked, they skate.. JMO

Don’t be so sure that it is all settled between Cruz and Carson. Their meeting didn’t go well between the two. It hasn’t been debunked and the Cruz campaign DID play dirty. Deal with it!

Don’t worry, it’s coming...

Nothing like a very specific and detailed exclamation that another candidate is “sick” to sway voters.

Just stop with your narrow view of who is and who isn’t a conservative. If we don’t agree with you or your candidate, then we aren’t conservative? Get over your puritanical self.

Still standing for Cruz/West 2016, huh? You might want to sit down then. First of all, West is also in Texas now - do you think there will be 2 Texans on a ticket? I don’t think so. West has been out of the limelight for some time as well - and he supported Carly when she was in the race - he has a few problems too.

"Trump supporters here will be swooning right and left that their boorish thug of a candidate is beating up conservatives."

Trump supporters remind me of those folks who idolize Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reed.... No matter HOW much proof, facts or truth you show them they just WON'T believe a word of it....

It doesn't matter if your on the left or the right... FACTS are facts and PROOF is proof and the TRUTH will ALWAYS be the truth and there isn't a darn thing they can do about it....

As for Mr. Trump, we are stuck with the loud mouth New Yawker, who spews daily populist pleasing red meat promises "to make things terrific" to his hungry low information voter. It's astounding so many are easily fooled that Trump's different.

I believe there is a large segment of Trump's generation that want a real "do over". Think about it, Bernie Sanders, (74), Hillary Clinton (68), Bill Clinton (69), GW Bush (69), Donald Trump (69).

None of these went to Vietnam, and GW had the best service record of any of them. GW had a chance, but somehow lost the way and didn't get the football over the goal line. Instead of the result being something truly great for the country and ready to be passed on to the next generation, we have instead lost our way.

Trump wants a crack at it before the country is passed on down or made worse by those who want to hand the country down in a different form, those being composed ultimately of the protest side of the Vietnam war.

I believe Trump is sincere, he doesn't need this. He feels called to this because he truly believes he can, as the leader and President of the US, "Make America Great Again, Even Better Than Ever". For me, he connects and I think it is sincere.

If Trump becomes President, there is going to be a lot of people fooled, but it will be harder for them to understand exactly how and actually admit it.
