Hardly anyone pays close enough attention to politicians, legislative constructs, inner working machinations, and the attached agenda/intent, as would be needed to fully grasp what is going on. How could the casual follower possibly understand? It is an overwhelmingly challenging task even for those engaged 24/7/365.

LINK your PROOF (
if you can)!
Now let's really take a close look at HOW the
Trans-Pacific Partnership was passed. (It took me a long time to track it down.)
Now look at
HOW TED CRUZ VOTED on THAT VOTE.
So EVEN THOUGH the
"ESTABLISHMENT REPUBLICANS" attached this UNPOPULAR BILL to another Bill titled
"Defending Public Safety Employees' Retirement Act", hoping that Senators would FEAR
being RIDICULED for voting AGAINST "Public Safety"
and FEAR being RIDICULED for voting AGAINST a "RETIREMENT ACR",
TED CRUZ did NOT BACK DOWN, along with Collins (R-ME), Paul (R-KY), Sessions (R-AL), and Shelby (R-AL) !
TED CRUZ
voted
AGAINST TPP !
Trump and Rubio supports are
RARELY HONEST.

TED CRUZ: Sure. There is a lot of confusion, and there's unfortunately a lot of misinformation that you can get on the internet, that people are confused. So let's explain what each of those three are. TPA is trade promotion authority. That's also known as fast track. That is the process through which free trade agreements are negotiated. Historically since FDR, virtually every president has had fast track authority. What fast track provides is simply if a free trade agreement is negotiated, the Congress will vote on it up or down without amendment. And history has demonstrated for the last 80 years that the only way to get free trade agreements adopted is to have fast track, that if there is no fast track, free trade agreements do not end up being negotiated. TPA is what the Senate voted on recently. I voted in favor of fast track, because I support free trade. I think free trade benefits America, it creates jobs, opening markets to our farmers, to our ranchers, to our manufacturers, improves economic growth. In Texas alone, roughly three million jobs depend upon international trade. And if you support free trade, the only way history has shown free trade agreements get negotiated is with fast track. Now there is a second issue that's caused a great deal of confusion, and that is TPP. http://freerepublic.com/perl/post?id=3400567%2C51 That is YOUR article that states that! Stop your lying!

So when Cruz says he voted to give Obama fast track, he’s lying.
You Will have to spam in lieu of answering, since the short, simple answer is damming to your case.

Well, gee, why don’t we just split Free Republic in two?
We could have www.freerepublic-4cruz.com and www.freerepublic-go-trump.com.
That way the arguments and opinions of FReepers who support one candidate over another won’t offend those who may support someone different.
Call it an “Internet Safe Place”.
But seriously, all of this is getting rather embarrassing. I’m seeing people here attack one another rather than the candidates. It is a campaign, and the candidates do OPPOSE each other. It has been that way forever. Knowing this, I am not bothered with it.
But the vitriol of Trump supporters towards Cruz supporters, and vice versus is amazing this time. Maybe because Jim Robinson just banned them in the past, but now let’s them “play”, it is more apparent, but I think the bitter arguing against each other is foolish.
Trumpettes, Trumbots, Cruzbots, Cruzettes... It is all so high schoolish.

WHY did TED CRUZ SAY he would VOTE 'NAY' ! ? !
Exclusive - - Ted Cruz: Obamatrade Enmeshed in Corrupt, Backroom Dealings
... Why does Republican Leadership always give in to the Democrats?
Why does Leadership always disregard the promises made to the conservative grassroots?
Enough is enough. I cannot vote for TPA unless McConnell and Boehner both commit publicly to allow the Ex-Im Bank to expire - - and stay expired.
And, Congress must also pass the Cruz-Sessions amendments to TPA to ensure that no trade agreement can try to back-door changes to our immigration laws.
Otherwise, I will have no choice but to vote NO .
There's too much corporate welfare, too much cronyism and corrupt dealmaking, by the Washington cartel.
For too long, career politicians in both parties have supported government of the lobbyist, by the lobbyist, and for the lobbyist - - at the expense of the taxpayers.
It's a time for truth.
And a time to honor our commitments to the voters.

You know, you're really making a fool of yourself here.
Lots of other posters have pointed out what Cruz himself said he did, his exact words, yet you soldier on with your spamming tomfoolery.
Just stop. You make even the worst Cruz supporters look even worse by association.

Rush explained the old DC Insider ploy years ago. When so called conservatives actually have the power to stop bad legislation, they vote with the Dems. Then, after the legislation is a done deal, so called conservatives make a big hoopla about voting against it—i.e.: when voting against it has become a meaningless exercise.
The only way TPP could have been stopped would have been to deny Obama fast track. Cruz gave Obama that destructively vast power...and then made a big hoopla about the meaningless votes that followed.

My big issue is the illegals. Rubio talked like a leader in the protect-America group but actually was a leader in the open-borders group. That makes him utterly untrustworthy in my eyes.
As much as I disagree with Kasich on all of his issues, at least we know where he stands. He will try to stab us in the front, not in the back.
As Milton Friedman said, âI do not believe that the solution to our problem is simply to elect the right people. The important thing is to establish a political climate of opinion which will make it politically profitable for the wrong people to do the right thing. Unless it is politically profitable for the wrong people to do the right thing, the right people will not do the right thing either, or it they try, they will shortly be out of office.â
If Kasich were elected, I think that the newly-conservative electorate may push him toward taking action against illegals. If Rubio were elected, we would continue to see our nation diluted.
Having said all of that, I favor Trump. Cruz is my number 2 choice.
