Do you read and comprehend what you write?
The Texas firebrand and Republican 2016 presidential hopeful had been a vocal supporter of trade legislation, even co-authoring a Wall Street Journal op-ed in April saying that the fast-track bill, known as Trade Promotion Authority, is a ââ¬Åfair dealââ¬Â for the American worker. In May, he voted to advance the TPA bill, which also included a worker aid package favored by Democrats.
But just hours before a decisive Tuesday vote, Cruz [changed] his tune. . . . Cruz, who has long aligned himself with the tea party wing of the party, has taken some flak from the right for backing the trade bill initially ââ¬â so voting ââ¬Ånoââ¬Â now could insulate himself from some of that criticism. Yet it could further alienate himself from big business and deep-pocketed donors who are staunch proponents of expanded markets.

Cruz voted to advance the TPP the first time and then backed out of it the second time.
Your idiotic spamming isn't going to change that fact

In April of 2015 Senator Ted Cruz and House Ways and Means Chairman, Representative Paul Ryan, supported TPA being added to HR2146. Their support was most notable when they posted the following Op-Ed which appeared in the Wall Street Journal on April 22nd:

This is from a couple of weeks ago at a Town Hall on May 30th. Ted Cruz was asked about the fast track trade bill, that he says is actually called TPA, and he explains why he supported it. In short, he said he supported it because he supports free trade. But he doesnât mention the immigration portion that we are just learning about.

TPA is not the trade deal itself. TPA, instead, gives the president authority to negotiate a deal. Such approval has been routine since the Nixon administration.
The actual Trans-Pacific Trade Agreement(TPP) has yet to be voted upon. Cruz has already stated that he will vote "No" on the agreement itself -- because of the immigration provisions, among other things.
But it was the vote on the fast track authority that allowed the TPA to go forward.
The individual spamming me keeps claiming that Cruz did not vote for the TPA bill, while ignoring the fact that he did vote for the fast track authority to be given to Obama!
How Cruz votes now is not relevant since the Fast Track authority lowered the approval to needing only 50 votes instead of 60.
I don't care how far these deals go back, they undermine U.S. sovereignty.
