Wrong!

It is from Trump’s internal poll.

Not sure if you are talking about a different poll, the one mentioned on Rush and appearing online is from a Jeb supporting Super Pac:

There's not a single SC justice - even that lunatic Ginsburg - who would vindicate the wacko birthers who say Cruz is ineligible.

If it makes you feel better... keep telling yourself that Hank. They are constitutional scholars that come down on both sides of the issue. Political ideology will decide this... if the liberals on the court have even a little wiggle room and believe me they have got it... they will rule in a way that is advantageous to liberals. Unfortunately I have learned this through very painful personal experience. There was no way they were ever going to rule Obama ineligible, but Ted Cruz is another story.

You are not a chess player are you Hank? Ted Cruz's presidential aspirations are now in the grave along with Justice Scalia. People just don't realize it yet, because his demise is still several moves down the road, but it is inevitable. An obvious progression of events has now been set in motion.

Not perfect at +/- 5 but does convey Trump at least +15 over the rest (much like NH polling) -- viz the rest are all fighting for second place. Again.

"Sample Size: 400 completed telephone interviews among a random sample of likely Republican primary voters living in South Carolina (287 self-reported Republicans and 113 self-reported independents and Democrats.

Sample Dates: February 12-13, 2016

Margin of Error: +/- 5 percentage points, 95% of the time, on questions where opinion is evenly split."

"Even worse:.... Sample Size: 400 completed telephone interviews among a random sample of likely Republican primary voters living in South Carolina (287 self-reported Republicans and 113 self-reported independents and Democrats). "

SCVotes: "Voters can choose to vote in either primary, but cannot vote in both."

Wow it is amazing that someone could take a datapoint and draw PRECISELY the wrong conclusion!

Scalia's demise puts a premium on nominating a solid judicial originalist. Every sentient being - and even a few Trump supporters - will realize Cruz is the man to do that. Or do you think they'll go with a guy who ripped Antonin Scalia within the last couple of months, has voiced praise of Lawrence Tribe...and has said his lunatic leftist sister would be a great justice. Scalia's death put a nail in presidential coffin alright - that of Trust Fund Donnie Trump. Hank

Reagan appointed Trump’s sister and she is 79 years old, same Scalia was. Trump won’t be appointing her to the SCOTUS.

Look Hank, you need to set up a time line and look at this logically. Previously, with 5 conservative justices and 4 liberal justices an eligibility lawsuit probably would have ended up with the Supreme Court finding that Crus was eligible, and somewhere down the road Cruz will also probably be found eligible, but not right now.

There are currently two possibilities; either Obama will get away with a recess appointment or he won’t. If Obama makes a recess appointment there is a good chance Ted’s Republicans friends in the Senate (oh, that’s right he doesn’t have any) won’t oppose it. They will figure that the 4 conservatives left on the court will stall on any important rulings until after a permanent appointment is made some time AFTER the election.

But there is one major ruling that the court may be asked to rule on before the election... Ted’s eligibility. With 5 liberal justices the outcome is fairly certain. The political fallout will not be that great and would benefit the Democrats.

If Obama doesn’t make a recess appointment, Trump will sue in some part of the country where the case will make it to one of the most liberal appeals courts. The appeals court will rule against Ted. The decision will be immediately be shot up to the Supreme Court; they will dead lock 4 to 4 and the Appeals Court decision will stand.

I do not know who our next president would be. I would be very happy if it were Cruz, but it is not going to happen now.

"That’s why the GOPe was trying to "leak" an "internal poll" supposedly showing just that."

Jebbers! minions supposedly do a cheap push poll that says Jebbers! sucks! -- so much so that they then leak it to TedState? And there's no sourcing whatsoever? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA

Nope.
Think about it logically, if trump in the polls is eviscerating Cruz, why does trump act like a spoiled brat who is losing.

Before Scalia died there was a good chance that Cruz would prevail in an eligibility lawsuit if it went before the Supreme Court. Now the Supreme Court will be deadlocked and a liberal appeals courts decision will stand. If the Republicans let an Obama get away with a “recess appointment” until it expires at the end of the year... the Supreme Court will do the dirty work.

Wow I never thought of this. You know that the libs aren't going to miss the chance to exploit this about Cruz and you know that they will find a lib judge to do whatever they want.

I keep thinking that same thing. If Trump is SO FAR ahead of Cruz, and WINNING everywhere, why does Trump feel the need to reiterate into every microphone he can find, that Cruz is such a “nasty guy”, and a liar and all those other personal attacks he keeps saying about Ted???

He's playing for votes in the general election. The left hates Cruz more than they hate Trump. He's setting himself apart from Cruz and making a big deal about it to get the press to break through to low information voters. Many low info voters will only remember "Trump didn't like Cruz so he must not be that conservative so I can vote for him".
