During tonight's CBS Republican presidential debate, Donald Trump was the only candidate to address the news that Carrier will be sending hundreds of American jobs to Mexico.

The GOP frontrunner said that under a President Trump, Carrier would stay and "build in the United States because we are killing ourselves with trade pacts that are no good for us and no good for our workers."

Video footage emerged yesterday, which went viral, capturing the anger and heartache of 1,400 Indianapolis workers who were informed that they soon would be out of work, as their company will be sending their jobs to Mexico. The New York Post described the video as "stomach-turning."

The company representative tried to quiet the crowd, as workers of different races and ethnicities cried out in outrage and despair. "Let's quiet down," the company representative said in the video.

Uh, you mentioned national debt and trade deficit in the same post. That's a red [pun, there] flag for me.

Executive summary: if you truly are worried about "no country," then worry about how much our politicians are spending, not about how much we are spending on consumer goods.

No, but he is addressing the root cause, paying attention and NOT taking any money from Carrier or any of the corporate crony capitalists layered into every corporation. Arguably, by mentioning it, by KNOWING about it, he’s the only one who cared. TRUMP keeps up with what happens. The other guys had never even heard the story, which is a day or two old. They don’t care because SOMEWHERE their lobbyists and donors are involved and they would NEVER do anything to harm the ones who bought them off.

Hey, let me ask you . . . are you planning your retirement centered around an investment or two? I hope not.

May I suggest you read Uncle Tom’s Cabin by Harriet Beecher Stowe. A very powerful and influential book indeed in its time. President Abraham Lincoln referred to Mrs. Stowe as the lady who started the civil war. Certainly, a true “conservative” should know something about this book!

AEI = globalist propaganda organ ..the article is comparing apples to oranges ... Trump owns and manages properties in other countries, as opposed to sending factories abroad ..nice try - you failed again

Sorry, but I was looking for individuals. One can argue with their points-of-view. As soon as someone starts naming organizations, things turn to jello.

“someone will stop by and explain why 200 million of us have to pay higher taxes to save 1400 jobs”

You got it backwards.

If Carrier moves to Mexico, everyone else will have to pay more taxes to make up for the lost tax revenue.

Look, you are missing the point. Trump wants to lower corporate taxes. He says over and over that companies are leaving because of high taxes.

"lost" revenue?

Tell me, what level of revenue do you find to be acceptable? To the Federal Government, I mean.

Planned parenthood also handles other issues of women’s health. Donald Trump has time after time EXCEPTED the Abortion acts from being acceptable. Funny how you only remember half of the comment he made.

Well, no. I thought I should cut you some slack. So let’s pick one from your list . . . do you think Cruz is in favor of “open borders?”

That’s the wrong question.

There are no cuts in federal spending when companies move abroad. These companies will stop paying taxes and everyone else will have to make up for it.
