Burns responded by admitting that Trump's language is profane.
"Let me tell you one thing, I'm grateful you said that, that Donald Trump is profane, and that's what you're saying," he said. "Donald Trump is profane, but guess what? ... I don't know about you but I don't trust a man that doesn't have mistakes. I don't trust a man that doesn't have the ability to have mistakes and then recognize those mistakes and then do what it takes to change."
Burns tied the argument into the Christian gospel, that no one can earn salvation through works alone...."

What I have noticed is that most of the Trump toads that have infested FR have no profile page and no point of reference that would indicate that you are real people as opposed to a room full of Trump operatives assaulting the actual FReepers who have been a part of every conservative conversation for the past 20 years.
Because Christians can look at the holly rollers, and see Ted Cruz pandering to the New Apostolic Reformation and their Dominionist heretics, and think to ourselves, "These people aren't really even Christian to begin with! Trump is totally unacceptable to me (and most likely the majority of voters) regardless of who is running against him. I didn't start out that way. When Trump first announced, I considered him a perfectly acceptable choice. It was only after listening to him and learning about him that I discovered what a vile and despicable person he is.
I held my nose and voted for McCain and Romney, but the stench coming from Trump is more than I can bare. If he gets the nomination, I will for the first time since I was old enough to vote (1980), not vote for the Republican candidate.
I realize that the Trump Chumps are very vocal (especially here), but that doesn't change the fact that most of his appeal is based on his celebrity, and that many of his supporters probably won't bother to go to the trouble of actually voting for him, especially since they can't do so by texting a 900-number (their preferred means of voting for their favorite TV character).
One thing I've noticed though is that people who make these claims can't really explain why he is unacceptable without sounding hysterical.
Not knowing what the nuclear triad is, for starters. Thinking that Mitch McConnell was the Speaker of the Senate for another. And then of course there’s that thing about Trump not being a Conservative. And now with Scalia gone, we have to worry about Trump replacing him with his pro-abortion sister.
With Cruz we have to worry about him appointing a globalist, open borders psycho like his wife and donors. Goldman Sachs even promoted his wife just 9 days after he was elected, giving her a salary of half a million dollars a year.

Exactly. And most of what has swayed me away from Trump was due to words he has spoken just this last week. He is his own worst enemy on the surface. But what if what he's doing re: turning more and more voters off isn't just an error in judgment? One wonders. Is he really that stupid. Or is there a method to his madness.
She was appointed by Reagan. I'm not sure an aside about his sister-- now retired-- should be taken as an indication of who he'll appoint to the court, considering he is calling for conservative justices for the court. I don't think Trump is going to sit there and insult his own family.

Through a legal process; in the meantime, Ted Cruz has been lying for the past couple of months about his support for legalization during and after the gang of eight fight, and for the 9 months of the campaign where he was specifically asked but refused to take legalization off the table.

I never expressed an opinion on the Keystone Pipeline, but to compare that to Trump's private limo parking lot is asinine.
Regarding Cruz: I'm fine with you not supporting him if he doesn't meet your requirements. However, to claim that Trump is in any way a better person or a better candidate is absurd. Trump is the only candidate who makes Bill Clinton look good in comparison.
Only if you don't understand the Kelo decision: If it's legal to transfer private property to private hands as long as there is some sort of "public benefit," then Keystone's use of eminent domain is lawful.

I was accusing Cruz of being a liar on immigration, not merely not meeting my requirements. I'll have to stick with the honest adulterer with a great family over the guy lying to my face while pretending to be white as snow.
The fact that Trump thinks the Kelo decision is just dandy clearly demonstrates that he is part of the problem.
