MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell and Chuck Todd were appalled by a new Ted Cruz commercial attacking Hillary Clinton, labeling it “vicious” and “rough.” The campaign spot parodied the 1999 cult classic Office Space, showing “Hillary Clinton” angrily destroying a computer hard drive.
After playing a clip, a disgusted Chuck Todd condemned, “That was a little rough. That was a little uncomfortable to watch.” Todd added, “That looked vicious” and suggested the commercial crossed the line.
Mitchell lectured, “First of all, Ted Cruz is not running against Hillary Clinton yet. And I just think the parody is great in politics,” but “I'm not sure it plays in South Carolina, the Bible Belt.”

Given that Chuck Todd has tossed softballs to Hillary Clinton on the e-mail scandal and Mitchell was thrilled when Bill Clinton hit the campaign trail for his wife, perhaps the journalists should have realized the ad wasn’t aimed at them.

ANDREA MITCHELL: Ted Cruz has had very edgy, clever, some would say, ads. But there's a question. I just want to play part of this Office Space spoof for you. Because I was talking to a political science professor just yesterday about civility and discourse in this campaign. We talked about profanity, a lot of other obvious issues and then this pops up.

MITCHELL: Now—
CHUCK TODD: That was a little rough. That was a little uncomfortable to watch.
MITCHELL: Yeah! First of all, Ted Cruz is not running against Hillary Clinton yet. And I just think the parody is great in politics or anything, but —
TODD: Whatever. There was the line. That looked vicious. It was sort of, whatever it is, whatever that line —
MITCHELL: I'm not sure it plays in South Carolina, the Bible Belt.
TODD: I'm not sure if it does either. I don’t know if it does either.
Yeah, sure, right. The MSM is the master of the double standard. If the parody was aimed at a Republican, they’d be chuckling and label anyone who got upset as lacking a sense of humor.

Imagine how rough it will be for Andrea and Chuckie when they see a follow-up ad of a dream with a judge sentencing the Hilary! look-alike to a “pound ‘em in the . . . (well, whatever) . . . prison”.

The question has never been whether Cruz was willing. The question has always been whether he was able.
And the answer is that Cruz, regardless of his good qualities, cannot avoid being palinized by the media narrative.
The media will have the populace hating Cruz in short order if he were to get the nomination, and there is nothing Cruz can do about it. Cruz does not have the means or the personal wherewithal to disrupt or refute the brutal media narrative which will make his campaign futile from the start.
Start with the many many millions he has received from just several individuals and look at their agenda. The media will.
And do not tell me Hillary is worse. Of course she is worse. But the media will not speak a word of that, and all the ads in the world will not make a difference.

I must have missed the memo about “F” Chuck Todd’s name. Are we now to be nice to the voices of the Dem’s? I can’t hear his name, nor type his name without thinking it should be “Up” Chuck Todd.
So they think Christians will be offended watching a server get stomped but it’s probably ok that Muslims behead Christians.
I was thinking that a lot of people that don’t keep up with news will wonder why Hillary is stomping on a computer and will find out.

It plays just fine for me, a SC voter, because it had that truth factor. Hillary is a sleazy criminal and we are well aware of her BS in the SC “Bible Belt”, as uneducated, racist, bible thumping and red neck as they think we are in this state, we know the Clintons and their slippery, lying asses.
