Donald J. Trump has a message for Pope Francis ahead of the pope’s trip to pray with migrants along the Mexican border: You don’t get it.

The pope is planning to go to the Rio Grande next week while on a visit to Mexico. He plans to offer prayer and show solidarity with suffering refugees.

Mr. Trump does not approve. In an interview with the Fox Business Network on Thursday, the Republican presidential candidate, who has proposed building a wall along the United States’s southern border, suggested that Francis was serving as a pawn of the Mexican government.

“I think that the pope is a very political person,” Mr. Trump said.

Unfortunately, the churches are a big part of the illegal invasion problem, particularly the Catholic and Lutheran churches.

Only Trump attacks Merkel for her Islamic invasion.
Only Trump denounces the Pope for his amnesty play.
Cruz says nothing. Cruz did not mention illegal immigration or the border a single time in his announcement speech last year. Only because of Trump is Cruz pretending to be tough.

This guy is no pope. He’s just an America-hating, two bit Marxist political activist from Argentina. One of those lipstick on a pig things.

The POPE is an Obama buddy, agrees with global warming, no limits on illegals, socialism (maybe a commie) supports those who won’t help themselves, won’t speak out against the evils of ISIS, everyone has to give till it hurts while he and Bam live an extravagant style.

Not too long ago, if I recall correctly, Cruz had a great, off-the-cuff, congenial back and forth with Baier...

People who call themselves Catholic while actively participating in abortion by voting these abortion activists into power, give scandal

And people who find this good reason to hate what they think is Catholicism enjoy being on their high horse.

Impossible to get them down off the saddle

Yes. And of course, there are protestant denominations that openly support abortion as well as gay marriage and lady ministers. Catholicism does not no matter how bad some Catholic politicians are.

...Only because of Trump is Cruz pretending to be tough.

I think you overstate the case.   Cruz has shown toughness in fighting Congress over a bunch of stuff.   Trump has praise him for it.

But your larger point is right on.  Trump is leading the fight against illegal immigration, political correctness, Muslim refugees, the Pope's politics -- and so many other issues.

Trump dives straight into waters that others are afraid to dip a toe into.  Only after Trump swims around and kills a few sharks do the others wade in!

Bold.  Smart.  Conservative.  Experienced.  Honest.  The Art of the Deal.  There's an awful lot to like :- )

Once again Trump shows his courage to speak the truth in a very plain way. This is what I like about him.

This Pope is drifting into Anglican territory. The Anglican church as a valid Christian church then it began to drift into political correctness. Today all the Anglican church does is gives its blessing to every leftist aberration that comes along.

This Pope is stirring up trouble while he is pretending to be a man of peace. I don’t know if he really understands what he is doing of if he has been programmed to think this way for so long that he doesn’t even understand the harm his is causing.

“has been programmed to think this way for so long that he doesn’t even understand the harm his is causing.”

Sure he understands.

He just doesn’t care.

Like Obama.

WE know what Jesus taught and what the Bible taught which does not change from Pope to Pope because the truth does not change. Ignore him, eventually he will go away. I am glad that Trump is not afraid to speak the truth.

Is it me or does it seems that the Western world is leaderless, whether we are speaking about political leaders or religious leaders? The average person on Freerepublic has more sense than most of the world leaders.

Trump does not care for false piety. All the world’s big shots expect to be treated like they are worthy of great respect—most of them are not.

Pope Francis is an enabler. If he were a real Christian leader he would tell Mexico what they were doing wrong so that they could correct their problems instead of invading another country to improve their lot.
