Heidi Cruz said Wednesday that her husband, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), was showing America "the face of the God that we serve" through his faith-based Republican presidential campaign.
Cruz said in an interview with South Carolina radio host Vince Coakley that she would support her husband's campaign even if she weren't married to him because of his religious values.

No one here seems to care what she said....they just want to do some "religion bashing".
Funny, since that's something I thought was "traditionally" just a mainstay of the Progressive/Socialist Democrat party..........
You sound like a mental case and are quite offensive. Who are you to judge who loves Jesus? You will answer to God in the end.
It might be better if Heidi just manned the phones for money. :-)
It might be better if Heidi just manned the phones for money. :-)
Did I? No.
Why?
I was 2 and 6 during those elections. :-P
We are what people see of God’s love and compassion when He ministers through us to those in need both spiritually and materially. Corrie ten Boom was the face of God to the camp guards she forgave. Mother Teresa was the face of God to those she fed and clothed. Billy Graham was the face of God to those who heard God’s call to their hearts. His light shines through us when we are obedient, so much so that sometimes people will ask a righteous man or woman, what is it that fills you with such joy and peace? And they listen to Him in that man or woman’s voice because they see something of Him in that person.
+1
‘Ha, it is the supporters of Ted Cruz that mistake their candidate for the Messiah.
That would be the cult followers.’
You got that right.
I’m so perplexed. If I don’t vote for Ted Cruz, I hate Jesus and America. On the other hand if I don’t vote for Hillary I’m condemned to hell. There’s just no winning, is there?
And Cruz’s reasoned responses and civil discourse with the climate change activist who had traveled from TX to NH to talk to Cruz gave a different reflection than if he had just ignored her, called her names, etc. If he had acted like a lot of Freepers, IOW - specifically the Freepers who accuse him of having a Messiah complex as they lie about what he or his wife actually said.
Somebody on here just called me a cultist because I don’t find Heidi Cruz’s words “creepy”. Wow. The political climate turns normally decent people into emotional attack dogs who don’t care that the commandment says not to bear false witness. That attitude will be seen by leftists as the “face of the God we serve”, whether the people acting that way would ever acknowledge that or not.
Where did Cruz ever say that you hate Jesus and America if you don’t vote for him?
Seriously.
Thanks for the clarification. It is amazing how folks can see what isn’’t there when the motivation is strong enough.
Peace,

Pray to the CFR...best chance
Good catch, lol.
And Cubans and Canadians!
I should have added the sarc/off tag. I read her entire comment, in context, and understood where she was coming from.
What is her biblical context?
For Reagan, faith was never a campaign tool. Never.
The way Cruz and his campaign use faith, you can be assured that a great many Christians will tire of it and become offended.
Hi Ron is a secret communist agent.
Already happening and this stream of conscious from Heidi did him no favors.
People can wish all they want for this nation to turn fully back to God, but if you spend any amount of time out in the real world, you’ll quickly see that it’s not a task for one man and certainly not the duty of the POTUS.
