Remember Guy Who Walked 21-Miles To Work EVERYDAY? He Just Made A SHOCKING Announcement!
The Political Insider ^ | 2/10/2016

No city is tougher to live in than Detroit. High crime rates and endless poverty has spread everywhere thanks to Democrat policies.

But hard work pays off. In Obama's America, too many people believe they are "owed" something. But this man - James Robertson - at age 57, walked 21 miles to work (to and from) every day!

His story was so inspirational that it went viral last year.

Thanks to donations, his more than 5 hour-long commute has been reduced to a 12 minute drive. But now, he made an incredible announcement: After receiving thousands of dollars in donations, he will still work as hard as he ever has:

James Robertson suddenly had a pile of unearned cash -- about $360,000. It poured into three GoFundMe pages on the Internet and kept coming, 24/7, until the humble factory worker said after a week "that's enough" and the pages were shut down.

Now, just more than a year after the Free Press first told the world about Robertson, dubbed "the Walking Man," this soft-spoken baseball fan is finding that his windfall and free car make life a lot easier, more relaxing, more fun. Obviously.

"I love this car," he said, taking a reporter for a recent spin in his still-shiny 2015 Ford Taurus, a car he chose because, as he famously said, "It's like me -- simple on the outside, durable on the inside."

He works at Schain Mold and Engineering, where he operates an injection-molding machine. And he will NOT be retiring anytime soon!

In part because he prizes his friendships at work, Robertson isn't likely to retire anytime soon.

"People ask me why I still work. I don't change that for no one!" he said, almost fiercely.

Ever consider he might need that productive job, and be very good at it? Experience counts, too.

I think this story is a bunch of BS. Walking 21 miles would take about 5-6 hours each way. Add that to an eight-hour shift, and you’re up to 18-20 hours, leaving 4-6 hours for sleep, eating and recreation. I’m not buying it.

Anybody who thinks this is a “great story” is both mentally retarded and a hypocrite. Slavery was arguably better than this scenario. This “great story” leaves the person involved a total of 4-6 hours a day for sleep, eating, recreation, and family.

"21 miles total, 10.5 miles each way. Pays to read the articles."

And it pays to have accurate headlines. The headline says he walked 21 miles TO work.

“The headline says he walked 21 miles TO work. “

He did, in order TO work he had to walk 10.5 miles each way everyday. 5 hours of walking plus 8 hours at work would leave the man 11 hours a day, not the 4 or 5 as you suggested, and all because you didn’t read the article and over reacted to a headline.

Actually he is taking a productive job from a younger person who may need that a job. Sorry that is the way I see it.

Well...here's the way I see it.
Someone who FEELS that one hard working person is TAKING a job from another person,
ACTUALLY feels ENTITLED to a job (or anything else) himself.

Here's a hint for you. There are only so many jobs available. Want a job? Either create one yourself OR work harder than somebody else.

Their ain't no participation trophies in real life. You got to go and prove yourself every day.

And you know what?
This guy DOES JUST THAT!
HIS BOSS...basically says that.

My grandpa owned his own farm. WORKED it up until 3 months before he died...2 months short of 93.
If a man WANTS to work, whether he is old or rich, NOBODY should make him step aside...

simply to make room for someone else.

That attitude just makes me want to backhand someone.

One of my favorite John Wayne movies is McClintock. In one scene, a young (prideful) settler NEEDS a job, to provide for him and his widowed mom. The young man doesn't take a simple no. and gets feisty with GW McClintock (Wayne).
GW hires him because of his persistence.
It leads eventually to one of my favorite Wayne quotes:
"I don't give jobs, I hire men."

Someone who feels someone else is keeping a job from them, in my opinion is just another GIBSMEDAT.

"GIBSMEDAT job.
If he wasn't workin' it...then eyescouldshabsit."

This guy walked MILES to and from work every day, FOR YEARS...and does a good job on top of that.

His boss didn't GIVE him a job. HE...HIRED...A...MAN.

Kinda tough to replace someone like that.

Maybe if you want his job so bad, maybe you need to prove your a better worker than him.

Wow I was saying since he has funding maybe he could start a business or do something a little more interesting than injection molding. But he likes hi his job. So it is good.

Does anyone else not believe this crazy story?
Walk 42 miles round daily?

<><><><

So you can’t even be bothered to read the excerpt, just the headline?

You didnt even need to read the whole excerpt, just the first two lines.
