He is still selling his book and living off his campaign funds.

He used the campaign to set up future books and speeches.
That is the great thing about being in a free country (for the most part). People can choose to do as they like. Don’t see many people complaining about Jim Gilmore still being in the race.
Reality: He'll come in dead last.
My post is not an attempt to be political. It’s just that I feel some empathy for Dr. Carson, who, in spite of all of his missteps, was a brilliant surgeon.
I hope Carson does great in SC and I hope he stays in the race long enough to keep votes away from other candidates who have no intention of making America great again.
Here in the upstate of SC, there have been NO radio or TV ads, no mailers, NONE/NOTHING at all to indicate that Carson is even campaigning, yet alone fighting to win this state. What a joke! A farce! I appreciate that there are pockets of voters who support him, who feel he is a decent man, etc., but it is time to move on to someone who is actually fighting for the nomination instead of giving any more money or hope to a Carson candidacy.
Nobody’s threatening to physically remove him from the race, are they?

Of all the candidates, Ben Carson has always struck me as the most obvious also-ran who was only in it to pimp his products and exploit good Christian Americans.
I’ve been reading FR for over 10 years now, and over the past, some other candidates have rubbed me the wrong way in this same regard (such as Huckabee), but my dislike of Ben was so strong, I actually finally registered after all these years just so I could complain.
I’m a Trump first, Cruz second person, and I realize that almost all of Carson’s support will likely go to Cruz, but I agree, Ben needs to go. When he suspended his campaign to go on a book tour (I believe this was in November or December), I really wished there was some party mechanism to kick him out of the race entirely. It’s one thing to have a book out that reinforces and lays out your vision for America, but the SOP is you mention the book and tell potential voters if they can’t make the events or whatever, it’s there if they want it. Suspending a campaign so that you can legally collect personal wealth at book appearances is abhorrent and should be illegal. It was a very telling move and for me, the straw that broke the camel’s back.

Jeb is saying the same thing. Jeb still is hoping to pull off an upset in New Hampshire. As I recall, months ago Jeb said he would win NH.
Of course, SC does have Gramnesty and Haley working behind to scenes to pull off a McCain-style upset for Bush.

I can see where he can make Cruz uncomfortable by staying in the race, but I don’t see how he helps himself unless he’s cut a deal with Trump or Rubio. I doubt Trump would go for it, but I wouldn’t put it past Rubio.
No candidates are trying to force him from the race, at least not that I know of.
The OP seems to be upset about Carson staying in the race, thus why I made my comments.

It is also pretty clear Carson would be very interested in a VP spot. Although I don't see how he would enhance any ticket.
