I recall a day when cops shot thug kids in the back, black or white, just for fleeing from them. I know this because it happened in Chicago when I was a kid. I guess the pendulum has swung to the other extreme.

That's when the good Samaritan, who lives on the block, came out of his house with a gun in his hand and told the teens to get away from the cop, Chitwood said. A few of the forty kids are going to know where this good citizen came from.
I just hope that this man does not come to regret having stepped up and defended this officer.
