Premature or prophetic? While analysts tried to figure out who had a "ticket" coming out of New Hampshire, Ted Cruz told Salem's Mike Gallagher that only two tickets exist -- at least in first class. With a win in Iowa and a surprising third-place finish last night, Cruz warned the Republican Party that he's the only one in the field who can dethrone Trump:
"South Carolina historically has played a critical role picking presidents. And I think Iowa and New Hampshire perform an incredibly important function in narrowing the field and in many ways this field is becoming a two-person race between me and Donald Trump," the Texas senator said on the Mike Gallagher Show Wednesday. "What Iowa and New Hampshire demonstrate is that the only person in this field who can beat Donald Trump is me. The other candidates are not able to beat Donald Trump."

Ted Cruz is a junior senator and he has made enemies, doesn't play well with others and is beholding to special interests. He is not going to be anywhere near as effective in effecting change and cleaning up the political nepotism and in changing the treaties and Government overreach as Trump will be.
Newt would be THE best VP candidate. Majority of voters would agree. Nothing anyone can do or say will prevent Trump / Newt voters from voting for them.

The reality is that we are in the beginning of the end of Democracy (or actually our Republic) as we sit by and watch!
You folks here think that arguing about the differences between the Democrats and Republicans can actually make a difference. Well, I’m here to tell you that it makes so little difference that it can not be differentiated between.
You have both parties trying to outspend the other and promising benefits to those that can’t or won’t provide for themselves and you just applaud the effort. Geez, grow up!
The government can NOT provide for those that are lazy, selfish, and otherwise looking to take advantage of others. Taking care of those truly needy has been and always be done by religious groups - not the government. That has been and has always been the gift of giving, something the government can NOT do!

The only dirty trick here is your lie regarding a supposedly successful businessman that filed chapter 11 four times going from a 50% ownership stake to 5% with another 5 in warrants, personally admits to hiring plenty of illegal aliens at his golf course and construct his hotels all while playing Archie Bunker to gullible voters, and uses eminent domain abuses having CRDA try to grab a 500k property (CRDA v. Banin) telling the owner they’ll give him 174k and vacate your building or trying to have the city of Bridgeport evict 5 businesses to make way for Trump’s entertainment resort.
As for the other you have a solicitor general that’s argued cases before the Supreme Court and a Tea Party candidate that made good on his promise to his constituents to oppose Obama’s agenda and repeatedly battled the rubber stamp republican establishment in Washington but apparently nasty Trumpeteers will slander real conservatives for a registered Democrat that has espoused liberal positions until 2015. The dirty tricks come from the Trump campaign fumbling to spin their Iowa loss with Carson’s inexplicable departure for some clean underwear apparently on the eve of a primary and no Iowa voter expressed that they would have voted otherwise.
Is this even a choice, America?
I think we have too many laws already. Sometimes good is done by not passing more laws.

The “true conservatives” are the ones who stood up to Obama and stopped his agenda by passing a budget that eviscerated his illegal immigration policies, eliminated the energy-destroying EPA, eliminated the Marxist propaganda Education Department, eliminated the job-destroying Labor Department, eliminated the racist Civil Rights Commission, defunded the FCC until they give back control of the Internet to private industry, defunded Obamacare, defunded enforcement of 99% of Obama’s regulations and Executive Orders.
