Donald Trump leads in Florida, but Marco Rubio is in second place, according to a new poll from Florida Southern College.

The survey found Trump maintains the top spot in Florida among registered Republican voters with 27 percent. Rubio is in second with 20 percent, followed by Ted Cruz at 12 percent and Ben Carson at 6 percent. Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush is fifth with 4 percent, according to the survey.

But wait... All I’ve heard it’s “just wait until he gets to the south....”

Jeb: There there, Lindsey. It isn't over yet for me in Florida. I still believe that there is still hope for us jelly-spined Republicans who cave in to liberals at every turn! Believe! Believe in squishy RINOs!

Lindsey: Sniff snuffle. Ok. I believe. Sniff. Are you wearing Old Spice?

“four percent.....his own state. the fix must be in or he is delusional.”

Jeb is planning on a major bounce after his stunning win in SC. His mom and brother will lead him to victory.

That’s right where Jeb wants to be in this contest. /sarc

He's going to win the general by losing the primary. He's right on track to . . . lose!!!!!

Jeb Bush is fifth with 4 percent.

And yet the same poll found that Bush would beat Hillary in FL, while Trump would lose to Hillary by a large margin.

Stop the Cruz fixation and worry about Rubio.

This poll is very interesting. It was taken AFTER Cruz’s win in Iowa, but it doesn’t seem to have given Cruz much of a boost. But, since this poll is pre-NH, and the virtual collapse of Rubio’s IA bounce, we have to wait to see what the polls say after NH. Either way, Trump is crushing everyone in IA. But, with the exit of Fiorina, and Christie, there will be some shifting. Since FL’s primary is after SC, we also have to wait to see the SC results before we read too much into these poll numbers.

After South Carolina

Bush if he stays on budget he will be down to 2 Million

The well is dry and no 4th place finish is going to help.

Jeb began his candidacy with a last name that wasn’t any help (many people, even those that did not find much fault with Bush1 or Bush2, still do NOT want America turned into a one-family dynasty)

And almost every time Jeb’s opened his mouth, he’s shoved his d*** into it........ saying really stupid (or left-wing, or both) things that few people want more of. If we wanted more suffering, we could always vote for Hillary

I think Jeb needs to quietly withdraw and definitely rethink his political views, positions, ideas

It’s time for an establishment candidate to drop out. Fortunately, Rubio is polling well in the critical state of Florida, Kasich won New Hampshire by coming in just a squeak behind Trump (Trump 35%, Kasich 15%), and Bush finished stronger than expected in New Hampshire too (11%). None of them will drop. Yet.

We need to see a poll done after Trump’s NH win (where he outperformed his polling, btw) to learn more.

Doesn’t seem that Cruz is doing too well in the south.

If Rubio, Bush, Cruz all get around 10% in South Carolina, why would any of them drop out? Then Trump breezes through the remaining contests and gets nominated!

Was taken before Rubio’s debate performance.

Mostly likely the only thing to be determined is whom is Trumps running mate. He has to get Fl. / OH, it will be interesting. Cruz doesn’t help him IMO, TX is a lock. Offer him the Justic Dept. to get conservatives to the polls in general. Maybe he offers VP to Rubio to help with FL and to a lesser degree Latinos. Not sure the strategery for Ohio, maybe go for the Auto Union families and insure them he will work with the auto industry to stop the offshoring.
