RUSH: Grab a quick phone call here in the first hour. We'll go to Greg in the steel city. Greg in Pittsburgh. It's great to have you, sir. Hi.

CALLER: Hey, Rush. How are you?

RUSH: I'm good. Thank you.

CALLER: Hey, with Mr. Trump's latest victory last night, I think the Republican voters have to start getting in the mind-set of not so much as, you know, Trump, you like what he says and kind of entertaining and spontaneous and however crudely, you know, during his rallies. I think we have to start looking at him in the Oval Office, as president. It's all good and well to reject the Republican establishment I think. Many, many people understand that. But can you picture a President Trump representing the country, like at a state funeral, representing the high --

RUSH: Greg, it's interesting that you -- 'cause Trump himself addressed this on the NBC Nightly News. I'm looking at the clock. We can squeeze these in, but I'm gonna have to play them again to analyze 'em. Trump was asked by Lester Holt last night, how different a Trump presidency would be from a Trump campaign. That's essentially what the question was.

HOLT: Last night you used a pretty vulgar term, repeating something someone in the crowd had said. And I'm wondering to myself, would you say that as president of the United States --

TRUMP: No.

HOLT: -- with that seal on the podium?

TRUMP: Much different. Much different.

HOLT: So are you gonna be a different guy as president than the one we see out here?

TRUMP: I went to the best school; I was a good student; I have an uncle who was, you know, one of the top, top professors at MIT. I mean, there's a good gene poll right there. I have to do what I have to do.

RUSH: "So Donald, you're saying this is an act?"

TRUMP: No, it's not an act. Last night I had thousands of people, we had a great time, and it wasn't my word; it was a word that a woman kept shouting, and I repeated it. I only repeated the word. And the place was wild. Standing ovation, everybody --

HOLT: But that doesn't mean it was in good taste.

TRUMP: Well, no, but I'll tell you what. When you're president or if you're about to be president, you would act differently. It's not a question of acting. I want to be different. You're being hit from 15 different sides. I want to be different. When you're president, you act in a different way, there's no question about that. And I would do that.

RUSH: Okay. I don't have time to get into it now, but he's gonna be different. You have to be, you have to be different when you're president. Donald Trump.

I don’t think Trump will change. But I do think he will behave in a manner that shows respect for the Presidency.

"You cannot be one kind of man and another kind of president." - Labor Secretary Lynn Martin - 1992

But it dial back from the political warfare that is going on right now in this election he sure he can.

Mr. Trump didn’t say he’d change who is, his basic character. Don’t we all change our behavior from one situation to another? Do you act in the supermarket the way you act in church? Or at a ball game vs. attending a funeral?

He would bring his most dignified behavior to the White House/Oval Office, showing it the respect it deserves. For everyone who’s ever run for or been POTUS (with the exception of Bill Clinton) that is totally different from a campaign rally.

Night and day; apples and oranges.

Kennedy, Nixon, Johnson, etc., were all wildly different in private than they were in public.

It's Trump's public persona that's the obnoxious one. I don't see him changing that once he's president.

the lie that ted can’t win has been disproven in the last three polls, the same ones that pegged last night have him up 1 and trump down 2 against clinton.

yeah, trump would probably beat her, but the lie keeps being told.

common sense is gone here.

if trump were getting so many dem votes, why would he not be getting 10 points more than cruz against hillary?

i’m from NY. haven’t met ONE dem who even LIKES trump, no less will vote for him.

it’s a delusion that could prove fatal if it is not overcome.

every conservative will have to vote for trump to win.

yeah yeah, i know, his person said they are voting for him, that person, blah lbah

hear the same stuff about obama. “I can’t find one person who is voting for him in 2012”

well, he managed to dig up over 50 million.

trump’s ground game should be to get the conservatives out.

massive dem migration?

think about it. HOW DIFFERENT would a dem have to be for you to vote for one as president?

As President you are not campaigning, so as a skilled leader he would lead instead of leading from his behind like Obama.

Lead who? Having offended everyone on both sides of the aisles who will be following him?

Probably what he was before he was conservative.

Just think this is coming from Rush, who went all in on a Robot Mr. Amnesty, Gang of 8 himself Rubio, who cannot think on his feet and only parrots lines back to his audience. Even when called out on it.

This is Rush taking cheap shots at Trump, because his fake sell out boy Rubio tanked.

Most people have different personals they display

by yourself

with your friends

in front of the boss

to your wife

to your parents

to your pastor

to your neighbors

to your co-workers

We dial it in on a regular basis.

We are more loose in some situations. We reign it in at other times. It’s human nature.

Yes. A lot of us fully expect he will go back to behaving like a wealthy New York Liberal and leave all his current fans and followers looking like this.

I think Trump is capable of ratcheting the rough behavior back, when it suits his purpose.

We saw that immediately following the Iowa caucus. Lasted about a day.

Trump knows how to work a crowd. He says what he thinks they want to hear. He will then show us who he “really” is later on once he doesn’t need our votes anymore.

Lynn Martin is not a man and never ran for president. And she said this almost a quarter of a century ago.

To me, that's three reasons why her comment means nothing today.

Trump tells his supporters he won’t be the man they are voting for and still they will vote for him.
