Very true, but Cruz is the second-choice for more voters than anyone. I think Trump has a ceiling of about 45 pct. If it becomes a 2-man race, Trump is vulnerable. Oddly enough, Trump needs Jeb and Marco, LOL.

Trump at the moment is only vulnerable to Trump's own mouth. At some point, it may get him in trouble... and it is startling that it hasn't already (bleeding from places, they're rapists, can kill someone, pu**y, if Ivanka weren't my daughter perhaps I'd be dating her, constant fixation on women's appearance, etc). I'm starting to be surprised at what he can say in public and nobody bats an eye. NOT terribly presidential in my eyes, but I'm old-fashioned. I believe in respecting the office.

There is no evidence to support that assumption that Cruz is “everyone 2nd choice. . Current polling shows that if you pick off the other candidates, Rubio is the likely destination of the Non Trump vote.

http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/main/republican-presidential-primary-2016/

Things also bode well for Rubio as the field gets smaller in the coming weeks. In a four candidate field he gets 32% to 31% for Trump, 23% for Cruz, and 8% for Bush. In a three candidate field he gets 34% to 33% for Trump and 25% for Cruz. And in head to heads he leads both Trump (52/40) and Cruz (46/40). As other candidates drop out of the race Rubio is the most likely destination of their supporters.

“... (bleeding from places, they’re rapists, can kill someone, pu**y, if Ivanka weren’t my daughter perhaps I’d be dating her, constant fixation on women’s appearance, etc)...”

Well, let’s take all of those horribly “offensive” statements one by one.

1. Bleeding From Places (”blood coming out her...”)
Yes. Trump was actually guilty of failing to finish a sentence. Before the comment, he was talking about blood coming out of Megyn Kelly’s eyes (he said the same thing about Chris Wallace, by the way). Trump’s campaign explained he meant to say “nose,” and that “only a deviant would think anything else” - but let’s pretend, for just a moment, that he really meant to say Megyn was on her period. WOW! Scandal! Women get bitchy when they have their periods? REALLY? This is news to WHAT segment of the human race?

2. “They’re rapists.”
Trump said that some of the illegal immigrants coming over are rapists. Quote: “They’re sending people that have lots of problems... they’re bringing drugs, they’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.” Oh! The horror! Trump pointed out that SOME illegal immigrants are rapists! Since it’s inarguable that some of them ARE rapists, I don’t see why anyone would have a problem with an obvious factual statement.

3. “Can Kill Someone”
During one of his rallies, Trump was talking about how loyal his supporters are, and said “I have the most loyal people - where I could stand in the middle of fifth Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose any voters. It’s like incredible!” This gave the press vapors. Trump’s comment: “Of course I was joking.” This was obvious to the audience who erupted in laughter.

4. Pussy
Trump didn’t call Cruz a pussy. Someone in his audience did. Trump repeated their comment, and rebuked them for it (though, clearly, it was not meant as a serious rebuke). There’s nothing wrong with using that word. It does not have to refer a woman’s private parts, but can simply mean “a weak, cowardly, or effeminate man” (look it up), which is obviously the way it was being used HERE since the discussion was about Cruz’s wishy-washy comments about waterboarding. One may be offended at Trump’s attack on Cruz (particularly if you’re a Cruz fan), but there’s nothing wrong with using the word.

5. Dating Ivanka (if she wasn’t his daughter)
See #3. Anyone getting seriously bent out of shape about this needs help. In case you haven’t noticed, Ivanka Trump is gorgeous. Trump’s comment simultaneously recognizes this and throws in a little self-depreciating humor, I believe, about his tendency to hook up with beautiful women (in case you haven’t noticed, Melania Trump is gorgeous, TOO!).

6. “Constant Fixation on Women’s appearance.”
I have no idea what you mean here, but if you’re referring to Trump’s tendency to point out attractive women when he spots them at his rallies, be advised that he often throws out compliments towards men as well (such as “look at that handsome man!”). It’s called saying what you think, which is one of the characteristics people find attractive about the guy.

Both Trump’s language and his blunt way of speaking is not uncommon on the East Cost, I assure you. It helps him connect to the common person (both in thought and language) in a way we haven’t seen in decades. I think it’s one of his strengths - not a drawback.
