CNN: TRUMP, SANDERS WIN
CNN ^ | February 10

Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Bernie Sanders have cruised to victories in the New Hampshire primary, CNN projects, in results that will rock the establishments of both parties and confirm the strength of outsider candidates in a wild presidential race.

Trump's victory restores the mantle of a winner to the billionaire reality star's campaign after he finished second last week in Iowa and validates him as a powerful new force in American politics.

Sanders, meanwhile, delivered a painful blow to Democratic rival Hillary Clinton after she edged out the slimmest of victories in Iowa.

Well you see, Norm, it’s like this ... a herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the lowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members.

In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Now, as we know, excessive intake of alcohol kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine.

And that, Norm, is why you always feel smarter after a few beers.

I agree and that’s why he’ll stay in.

buckeye49, I hope you’re right but that “native son” crap gets a lot of votes.

This doesn’t change much. Trump is still bumping his ceiling with two thirds of Republicans voting for someone else. The question remains how the votes will coalesce as the field shrinks. A good showing by Kasich and Bush probably keeps them in the race a bit longer. This benefits Trump by keeping the opposition splintered, but i don’t see Christie, Carson, or Fiorina votes going to Trump as they drop out.

Wow, Bernie is killing Hillary among women and young people!

From ABC News:

Sanders won women by 53-46 percent, as well as prevailing far more widely among men, 65-34 percent. Sixty-nine percent of women under 45 backed Sanders (including 82 percent of those under 30 women), while Clinton won women 45 and older by 56-43 percent.

Among all voters under age 30, Sanders beat Clinton by a huge 84-15 percent margin, another result similar to Iowa.

Kasich higher than expected, Marco lower than recently expected, everyone else about as expected. For the last 2 weeks, it has been 33-11-11-11-10-8. It looks to be ending up at 34-16-11-11-10-8.

I don't see Kasich lasting long after enjoying his night tonight, so the only real story is Marco finishing significantly below this week's polls... the bad debate performance, do you think?

Rafael ‘Ted’ Cruz only Southern roots are located in Cuba. His kindred blood is Cuban not Texan

Cruz has no Confederate blood.

Amurrrica must now deal with the fact it may well move from a barely-hidden Communist “president” to the hardest-core, Communism-is-my god, Communism-is-my DNA, Communism-is-my neshama, Communism-is-my life, Brooklyn JINO.

And yes, comrades Ben & Jerry already have flavor ideas like “Bernie’s Yearning” and “Bernie’s Rebellion.”

Think I’m joking? Try http://www.cnn.com/2015/10/12/politics/bernie-sanders-ben-and-jerrys-ice-cream-flavor/

Newsweak will come out with a cover saying “WE ARE ALL COMMUNISTS NOW”

Amurrica 2016.

“Trump is still bumping his ceiling with two thirds of Republicans voting for someone else”

The other Repubs have 85%+ voting for someone else. What’s your point?

The point is, Trump has the highest negatives of any presidential candidate in either party, either. Those supporting the non-Trumps are not likely to shift to The Donald as their guys drop out.

Time will tell. IMHO, Trump needs the field to stay fragmented as long as possible. If it were a two or three man race today, Trump would not be in the lead.
