A little perspective: Iowa went Cruz, NH went Trump. That’s what, 39 delegates out of 2,472? The people we all agree we don’t want to win haven’t won anything. So far, so good. The GOPe insiders are in a state of complete panic as they’re in a lose-lose scenario.
Sadly, Cruz is not looking good right now.

Kasich stabbed us in the back over the medicaid expansion in Ohio. We haven’t forgotten. I spent one long hot summer getting ballot signatures to fight that scam. He went against the will of the people who elected him. He can stay in New Hampshire for all I care. That said, we are gearing up to get out for Cruz in my neck of the woods

Being from Ohio maybe you can confirm. I’ve heard rumors that Kasich is a really nasty guy personally. A major league A-hole.

Because people here are still angry about the Medicaid expansion, and him lecturing us about what St. Peter will say when we get to the pearly gates. He didn’t understand that is between him and St Peter, not him and us. He used our money to make himself feel better. The Liberty Groups in Ohio are uniting behind Ted Cruz, and have been working on this for months and months. I am a member of one of these groups, and I am optimistic. If he wins, it won’t be without a fight from us.
I am beginning to see that one of Trump’s strategies is to get his opponents to burn their cash at a massive rate while he does not spend any of his. If he can get his opponents to do that while he conserves his they will be at a huge disadvantage in the months to come.
He will bankrupt them. Great approach. Trump understand this whole game operates on cash lots of it. If he can force his opposition to ramp up their burn rate he knows they will go bust. Trump understands this very well.
I have met him, and he was just a typical pol. My son had a run in with him at a golf course a few years ago, over what would be a long story, but the bottom line is, yes, he is a nasty jerk. He got a speeding ticket shortly after he got elected, or maybe before, not sure, but he called the Trooper a moron, or some other derogatory name, publicly, and had to apologize. That is what I know personally. I have heard other stories but that is my personal knowledge. People are still mad about the Medicaid thing.

I lived in Cbus for 25 years. We raised our kids there. We had a job change a few years, so had to move, but still feel a strong connection to Ohio. Our daughter worked as a waitress after college for six months before she found her career job (she’s a neurophysiologist), and she had an interaction with him which took place while he was running for governor. She waitressed at The Columbus Club, where all the movers and shakers in town belong or are frequent guests. He was there for a luncheon and fundraising. I believe she told me it was several hundred dollars a plate.
He arrived late, made several specific requests that weren’t on the menu, and they had to scramble around to fulfill his request. He was rude to the waitstaff, including her, and to the other guests who had paid handsomely for a few minutes of his time. Apparently he talked nonstop, and didn’t take any questions. To top it off, he took not one bite of the food they had made especially for him.
She has worked as a waitress at other country clubs before that job, and said she had never run across anyone as self-important as he was, and she has waited on some pretty high-maintenance men and women.
I wrote him a letter after that, but I’m sure it went right into the circular file.
