Put another way, Cruz, Bush, and Rubio BARELY put together barely beating Trump.
Polls indicate Cruz should have gotten 20%. He’s significantly under-performing.
I don’t think Trump was behind in poll any SC poll in the last 7 months. ... Just looked. Carson edged out Trump by 1% in a Clemson U poll early November. Trump has won all the rest of SC polls since July. 17 out of 18 SC polls.

Nearly any Trump supporter would vote for Cruz should he become the nominee.
It appears that Cruz is getting a lot of the voters that abandoned Rubio.
Is there a poll result site that is faster than the Politico site pointed to by Drudge?

Trump is incapable of debating issues. He substitutes bluster, insults, ego, and red-meat one-liners in place of knowledge, depth, and substance.
If I were in the Cruz camp, I’d still be worried about Rubio Robot sneaking up from behind. I don’t think Cruz is going to catch Trump in S.C.
