Ted Cruz Requests Private Meeting With Ben Carson
Breitbart ^ | 7 Feb, 2016 | Michelle Fields

Posted on 02/08/2016 11:54:09 AM PST by Red Steel

"He said he's sorry that this happened and he wants to sit down and talk," Carson said in an interview with The Washington Post. "He wants to discuss the whole thing and clear the air."

"To be determined," Carson said when asked where they may meet. "Doesn't matter."

The Carson campaign has been critical of Cruz after his campaign spread false rumors during the Iowa caucus, and sent voicemails to Iowa precinct captains suggestings that Carson was dropping out of the race.

We’re not seeing a lot of logic lately, that’s for sure!

I was surprised at first because I expected better, but I understand that emotions tend to run high during election season and all rational thought goes out the window.

We’ll have more things to get upset about later. :)

Here in the Upstate of SC, there are no Carson radio nor TV ads, no Carson mailers, no indication at all that he’s in the fight here for the nomination. Why is that?

No kidding! I can’t believe how irrational people are about Team Ted burning “principled” to the ground on caucus night. All the logical contortions they go through trying to defend that are a sight to behold.

Should have been no surprise, it isn’t the first time Jeff Roe has done that, so we know it was deliberate.

Eckersley calls e-mail a hoax, says he’s still in the race (AUDIO)
“You know this is dirty politics. This is Jeff Roe-style management. That’s who Billy’s retained. That’s who he writes the big checks to,” Eckersley tells Missourinet affiliate KTTS. “This is Kansas City management doing what they do best, which is playing dirty.”

That is the bottom line of this. How many times will Cruz attempt to tell Carson he is sorry for something he had no control over? How many pounds of flesh will Carson demand after this meeting, I suspect Carson is not through with this, gets him air time as taught by Trump?

I agree. I have lost huge respect for Carson in this, and I really liked him.

Good grief .. people are still getting this WRONG ..??

CNN was the culprit who put out the story that Carson was going to take some time from the campaign .. Rubio picked it up and started spreading it. The info was all over the place; and was wrongly reported by CNN that Carson’s run was over. Cruz’s team only repeated what they saw in PRINTED info.

But, part of the confusion came directly from Carson himself. He didn’t really define what “time off” meant. Instead, Carson allowed CNN to put out the info that Carson was getting out of the race.

It’s sad, but Dr. Carson has refused to right the information and absolve Cruz of the twitter msgs sent by his staff. And still, Rubio got no attack from Carson. And, when Ted confronted CNN, they blustered and hyperventilated all evening having been caught in a mess THEY created.

So, I’m hoping Ted’s one-on-one with Dr. Carson will settle this once and for all. I’m still unhappy with Dr. Carson’s attitude with Ted. I hope this will get settled publically and Dr. Carson will finally extend an apology to Ted.

The quote from Cruz that shows he lied. In order to determine whether Cruz lied, one must first be in a position to judge the veracity of the statement in question. It is a fairly simple matter. Cruz makes a statement. Then someone else determines whether the statement is true or false. If the statement turns out to be false, then the case can be made whether it was done so with the intent to deceive.

So let's start with the statement. What statement did Ted Cruz make that you consider to be a lie?

I think that’s the point.

People keep saying the “big lie” — that is, Cruz lied about something.

Well, the best they’ve got is Cruz staffer was supposedly overenthusiastic repeating a CNN report that may or may not have been completely accurate. That’s not a lie.

Now, it IS a lie to keep accusing people of dishonesty when they are not dishonest.

In fact, it falls squarely under the top 10 big things to do or not do.

I'm thinking its only a 50-50 chance that Cruz is going to be re-elected to Senate.

Spoken like someone from Arizona who knows nothing about what he talking about. Being from Texas I can assure you Ted Cruz will be our senator as long as he wants!!!

"Cruz Iowa staffer Spence Rogers sent precinct captains an email during the caucus hinting that Carson planned to leave the race, despite the fact that Carson's campaign said he would continue.

"Breaking News. The press is reporting that Dr. Ben Carson is taking time off from the campaign trail after Iowa and making a big announcement next week," the email, acquired by CNN, read. "Please inform any Carson caucus goers of this news and urge them to caucus for Ted Cruz."

Meanwhile, Cruz surrogate Iowa Rep. Steve King told followers on Twitter that "Carson looks like he is out."

Carson looks like he is out. Iowans need to know before they vote. Most will go to Cruz, I hope. https://t.co/lW5Js50EMA— Steve King (@SteveKingIA) February 2, 2016

Carson told Fox News his wife, Candy, had to correct the misinformation at one event.

"She spoke at one of the caucus sites and before she got there one of the Cruz people had again disseminated that information to the crowd," he said. "And one of the organizers told her 'I'm so glad you're here, so you could set the record straight.' And she did and we actually won in that precinct."

Carson's campaign was furious when they first learned of the tactic, and Carson decried it as a "dirty trick" during remarks Monday night at a party with supporters in West Des Moines.

"This is really a dirty trick," Carson said. "This makes me more determined than ever to keep going."

Cruz's campaign defended the Rogers message to the precinct captains.

"Carson said he was taking time off to go home. We simply repeated what he said," Cruz spokeswoman Catherine Frazier said Monday. "Our email simply stated the facts."

When asked what the "big announcement" mentioned in the email referred to, Frazier did not respond."

Do you speak of the Tom Brady who won his deflategate case with the NFL?
http://nypost.com/2015/09/03/tom-bradys-four-game-deflategate-suspension-overturned/

The same NFL that I don’t think has released their random testing of the psi levels of footballs from games played in similar weather as last years playoff games? (although I guess that could still happen)

See Peter King’s comments under his 10 Things I Think I Think items 4 and 5 under a long column - about 1/2 to 2/3 of the way through the column concerning why the NFL needs to release that data.

So again, do you have the quote? Or were you simply lying about what Ted Cruz did.

I am wrong, Ted himself did not lie. It was his campaign people.

I’m sorry.

He did apologize on camera, for “face time” but breezed right by Ben when Ben was standing there unsure if he had been called.
That little episode was the deciding factor for me as to who was the real deal.
