(CNSNews.com) - Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), asked to respond to North Korea's test of an intercontinental ballistic missile capable of reaching the United States, called for an expanded missile defense capacity and a "hardened" electrical grid.
But first, he noted that President Bill Clinton relaxed sanctions against North Korea, just as President Obama has relaxed sanctions against Iran: "So, what we are seeing with North Korea is foreshadowing of where we will be with Iran."
At Saturday's Republican debate...

Did Ted Cruz vote Yes or NO on TPA?
I say it because Ted’s votes on TPA and the Corker bill should be all the warning you need that Ted is a globalist.
Add to that his (past?) support for increasing H1B visas, his flip flopping on immigration, and his advice to the Bush administration on immigration and you begin to see the whole story.
I started out supporting Ted. I donated to him and thought he was the only true conservative. Then I did my homework.
Heâs correct. What a mess Obama is creating.

Ted enabled that mess by voting for the Corker bill.
North Korea is the VERY WORST genocidal dictatorship on planet earth. And Red China and the “former” Soviet Union are backing them up. This has to change, and it will change when Ted Cruz takes up residence at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave!
OK, so you admit he voted against it. Thank you.
Have to disagree with Ted Cruz on this one.
Iran and North Korea are full partners in nuclear proliferation with North Korea.
What North Korea has, Iran has as well so they are already there
Now both Iran and North Korea have 150 Billion Obama Bucks to expand and improve their arsenal - including their hydrogen fusion weapon technology and ballistic missile technology - which i already surprisingly adequate .
Notice how the Obama Iran deal is almost solely focused on restricting only Iran's uranium weapons grade enrichment capability ?
A hydrogen fusion device does not require as much in the way of enriched uranium as it employs much easier to extract plutonium, which can be obtained from the nuclear reactor Iran just commissioned .
Obama’s Iranian Nuclear deal gives away the store and allows Iran to openly obtain nuclear technology in just about every facet of nuclear proliferation technology except that which is specialized to enriching weapons grade uranium for a uranium fission device.
The Obama Administaion’s Iranian nuclear deal essentially green lights and fast tracks Iran's ability to produce and deploy a hydrogen fusion device, a capability which was ignored because it was assumed to beyond Iran's technical grasp.
Iran also already has a foothold in South America and Cuba for basing it's it's missile systems.
With all due respect to Ted Cruz, we are already in as bad situation with Iran as we are with North Korea and probably worse if truth be known
I know what Ted says now. I started out supporting him.
What he says now does not match his votes or his comments in the past.
Ted is absolutely right.
No matter what comes up, the Trumpkins claim that The Don was talking about it a long time ago and was the only one.
Sen. Cruz: We Must Continue The Fight To Stop Obama’s Bad Deal With Iran
WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, released the following statement regarding votes on the Iran Nuclear Review Act:
‘This bill was a missed opportunity. If Congress had acted to defend our constitutional authority - if Congress had adopted the Cruz-Toomey amendment - then we would be able to stop a bad Iran deal. Instead, the odds are now overwhelming that under these ground rules President Obama will negotiate, and Congress will acquiesce to, a terrible deal that allows Iran to acquire nuclear weapons and will endanger the lives of millions of Americans and our allies.
‘I voted no on cloture because we should have insisted on amendments to put real teeth in this bill. Ultimately, I voted yes on final passage because it may delay, slightly, President Obama’s ability to lift the Iran sanctions and it ensures we will have a Congressional debate on the merits of the Iran deal. I will continue to lead the fight to prevent the Islamic Republic of Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons and to protect the national security of America and our allies.’
Sen. Cruz spoke about this legislation on the Senate floor on Wednesday http://www.cruz.senate.gov/?p=video&id=2317
This statement is simply transparent bull****. The second paragraph, in particular, is logically incomprehensible and a slap in the face to anyone who has an IQ in the double digits.

He’s absolutely right. Very similar terms were agreed upon when the U.S. capitulated to North Korea in the 1990s. We’re replaying that sad saga.
I hope someone can come in and clean up the mess Obama and Hillary has caused. It’s going to take a lot work.
Cruz, along with 97 fellow senators, did indeed collude and voted for the Corker bill. In other words, Cruz helped get that 150 billion back to Iran and worse yet, has helped Iran to ultimately get nukes -sooner rather then later.
