The most surprising Oscar race in recent memory took another dramatic twist with Alejandro Iñárritu taking aim at Donald Trump after becoming the first-ever winner of back-to-back awards from The Directors Guild of America for the survival drama “The Revenant.â€
After the win, the Mexican director told reporters that Trump’s plan to build a wall to keep out illegal immigrants from Mexico would “betray the foundation of this country. The power of this country [the U.S.] relies on diversity.â€

I hope this guy blasts Trump — and praises illegal alien diversity — from the Oscar podium. More great publicity for The Donald!

I watched Whiplash first and thought it was outstanding.
I them watch the eventual winner, Birdman, and thought it was a garbled mess.
Now that I find out the director is a Mexican liberal, I understand the choice of his film over the superior Whiplash.
Very sad to see a successful Mexican director show his ignorance and bias. Does he know the difference between legal and illegal immigration? Does he know the immigration laws in the USA vs. Mexico?
He appears to be a very foolish man!

It is always nice when a resident of a third world country feels he needs to lecture Americans on how to do things to duplicate the greatness of his third world hell hole back home.
A wall to keep people out who are illegal. Oh my what a horrible concept, how dare this country ever protect it’s own borders while this Mexican here has no problem with how Mexico enforces their southern border.

Reading that VICTIMS OF ILLEGAL ALIENS site is heartbreaking. If our laws were actually being enforced, every one of those people would be alive today. Their deaths should not only be laid at the feet of their alien killers, but also be placed in Obama’s legacy, since he is the one barring our immigration laws from being enforced. Enforcing those laws should be the Number ONE job of our next president.

It also has been fairly blind to ethnicities (Democrat treatment of black people notwithstanding) but not to values and principles.
