Let me get this right then. When a person in the senate stands up for you - it’s without value.

I’m very pro-capitalist and I do appreciate the work of major companies. I worked for one a little over a year ago that employs well over 100,000 people in the united states.

I currently work for one that supports another company that dwarves the payroll of my previous employer by an order of magnitude.

22,500 is chicken scratch. If that was the measure we should follow, Donnie Smith of Tyson Foods, or any of Sam Walton’s kids blow Trump away like a leaf in the wind.

Am I glad trump has built a business? Yes. Does that make him special? Not really. Do his views make him special? — Sometimes, and only if they are genuine.

Look,
Cruz could have easily played the game and sat back and watched for four years before making noise his last two. He didn’t do that. He stood up and pushed others to stand up to what they were elected to do. Meanwhile others played the game or joined the other side.

He is giving Obozos executive Orders some legitimacy by saying he will repeal them. If they are truly illegal and unconstitutional why doesn’t he just admit we can ignore them.

Because, logically, we can't.

They have to be repealed because there are all kinds of governmental agencies involved with his executive orders and in order to stop them in their tracks, completely, from obeying those executive orders, you have to repeal them.

They are, in effect and in actuality, laws of the land if Congress does not override/repeal them with in a certain number of days and our congress did not, so they are laws of the land.

Congressional sessions start on January 3rd. The President’s term begins January 20th. They have an 18 day head start.

Cruz is the only hope conservative have. Trump is the fake. Win or lose he will over-promise and under-perform. It’s his MO.

Ok, so in your estimation Trump employing 22,500 people means nothing and Ted not employing even one person is very impressive.

Got it.

Go for the Washington hack that hasn’t accomplished anything if you like.

I’ll vote for the achiever.

THIS is how Trump does business - the way that has destroyed our country - the way ObummerCare was enacted -

This is how the Don ‘makes deals’

and will deal with the devil - if the devil has something he wants.

Wake up, folks.

By golly you’re right!

But then....look who the House & Senate leaders are likely to be (unless there’s a revolt!):

Peewee Herman & Turtle McNeck.....conservative titans, both. /s

While you are correct overall, executive orders are not and cannot be the “law of the land”. They only guide the executive branch in how they execute, or in Obama’s case, fail to execute the law. What Obama has done is direct the executive branch to interpret the law in a manner that often twists the meaning of the law.

Remedying this will take resolute political will in the face of opposition and both and understanding of, and a belief in, our constitutional system.

In my mind, Cruz has these traits.

Good for Ted Cruz. What he should say when he rescinds Obama’s illegal and unconstitutional EO’s: "Ladies and gentlemen of the United States, Congress, the Judiciary, Executive Branch personnel — all executive orders issued by the former POTUS, Barack Hussein Obama, are rescinded, canceled, null and void, and nonoperational. These EO’s were both illegal and unconstitutional. Anyone in the Federal Government that continues carrying them out is guilty of crimes against the American people and will be prosecuted. If any of those illegal and unconstitutional EO’s were codified into law, I expect the Congress to repeal them and have the legislation on my desk for signature within 30 days.

The following EO’s are rescinded: (list the EO by number and title)".

Exactly. If he is president then all the agencies work for him. The heads are mostly all appointed. All he has to do is tell them enforce the laws, new sheriff in town, etc.
Guess it sounds good as a sound bite though.

My belief is that if Cruz wins a general election, there will be significant pressure on the Congress. Cruz the gadfly senator can be brushed aside, Cruz the President cannot.

And what has Cruz accomplished except voting for the Obama Free Trade Act?

“If they are truly illegal and unconstitutional why doesn’t he just admit we can ignore them.”

Because there’s no “political mileage” in saying just that!

rescind every single illegal and unconstitutional executive action Barack Obama has done

That would be everything the evil communist thug has ordered since he first (okay, second, since he flubbed the first try) lied his way through the Oath of Office. I very strongly approve.

We can debate who’ll do a better job of cleaning out Obama’s EOs, Trump or Cruz.

One thing we can all agree upon, because he says it: Rubio will keep the Amnesty EOs.
