Carson says an apologetic Cruz asked for a meeting at debate (busTED)
Washington Post ^ | 2/7/16 | Robert Costa

Ben Carson said late Saturday that Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas approached him during an off-camera break at ABC’s Republican debate to apologize for his campaign’s conduct during the Iowa caucuses and requested a one-on-one meeting with him.

“He said he’s sorry that this happened and he wants to sit down and talk,” Carson said in an interview with The Washington Post. “He wants to discuss the whole thing and clear the air.”

In the interview, Carson said pointedly that if the meeting with Cruz is scheduled, that does not mean the the senator will be absolved.

“The evidence is there,” he said, citing voice-mails that his campaign has released of Cruz allies telling caucus-goers that Carson was likely to suspend his bid. “Tapes, written communications, it’s all out there. People have to decide whether this kind of behavior is acceptable to them.”

I’ll say one thing for y’all - you folks are as persistent as you are obtuse.

“Now Carson will find out what a creep Cruz really is I hope he tells us.”

Carson won’t; he is too much of a gentleman. There is also no need, and Raphael and his mob make it manifest every day.

CNN responded forcefully to Cruz on Saturday, calling the senator’s characterization of its coverage “categorically false.” “The Cruz campaign's actions the night of the Iowa caucuses had nothing to do with CNN's reporting.

Typical CNN lies. They ran the story of Carson leaving the campaign trail and returning with Florida, with Blitzer et al. chiming in with how bad it looked.

In any case, Cruz needs to stop apologizing to this jackass and move on. Carson thinks he's killing it with the 'boo hoo, poor me' act and will continue to milk it for all its worth. Carson is a joke. As detailed in the new issue of The Economist, the Carson 'campaign' is little more than a money-raising operation.

Carson is right, “Doesn’t matter.” I’m more suspect of Steve King. I know he is a conservative fighter but, past alliances do count.

Steve King who, got major funding and a personal visit from...DT. search for King and DT and find many such links.

What do you think?

Please do. Keep posting nonsense. St. Ted is badly damaged by this mud. Unfortunately, I think you know it.

Certainly here, poster after poster has mentioned the nastiness of the St. Ted faction.

“Carson is really showing his ass over this thing. What a disappointment.”

What? The only disappointment here is Ted Cruz. I guess he doesn’t understand the “Dog$hit Theory of Communication.” that is the more you step in it, the worse it smells.

So Ted trying to do the Christian thing of reconciling with a brother is a shocking revelation that condemns him somehow? Utterly bewildering. If anything, it highlights more and more that Carson is milking an honest error as a way to attack a good man’s character, which I find reprehensible.

Peace,

SR

Let it go, busTED....you’ve been exposed. Take Carson’s smack down as a lesson learned.

Raphael is a politician, period. He does not give a damn about Carson, or anyone else for that matter. The only reason he apologized is because he got caught..and there is a paper trail to prove his guilt..no other reason.

When he is finally forced to fess up about his sealed, US birth documents, if he has any, the wailing and hand wringing will make Jimmy Swaggert proud....and will be well worth the wait.

Between Rubio’s breakdown and Rafael’s dirty tricks, Trump may set up for a near sweep.

Ted is acting according to the words of Jesus, Ben is not

But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment; whoever insults his brother will be liable to the council; and whoever says, 'You fool!' will be liable to the hell of fire. So if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar and go. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift. Come to terms quickly with your accuser while you are going with him to court, lest your accuser hand you over to the judge, and the judge to the guard, and you be put in prison.

Matthew 5:22-25

He is miffed that so many of his staffers quit his campaign and joined Cruz.

We have a winner!

Busted. Big time.

Cruz begged Carson for private meeting.

This scandal isn’t going away anytime soon.

“You have it exactly backwards - Cruz has become the wronged party here.”

Sorry pal, you’re the one with cognative dissonance! Cruz has an open wound and he’s trying to pretend that it’s all healed over.

Funny, I don't recall Trump stealing any elections.

Funny, I don't remember Cruz stealing any elections either. That just comes from the fevered imagination of Trump and his supporters who can't deal with the fact that their hero LOST the first contest. Or haven't you seen the analysis that showed that based on the 2nd-choice preferences of Carson voters, over 24,000 voters would have had to have switched their votes in order for that to be the reason Cruz won over Trump???
