Red State ^ | February 7, 2016 | Dan Spencer

Sen. Ted Cruz won the New Hampshire GOP debate. Cruz managed to stay above the hand to hand combat between the desperate governors and Sen Marco Rubio and Donald Trump. He gave great answers to the ABC News moderators, some of whom spent the night fishing for sound bites that could be used to help the Democrats' eventual nominee.

Gov. Chris Christie went after Sen. Marco Rubio early and seemed to rattle him. Unfortunately Christie came across as...

Trump looked terrible out there. He got booed for being an uncouth and unpresidential loudmouth. And as Christie pointed out, Donald Trump cannot come up with a detailed answer about HOW he is “going to make America great again”, even when specifically asked by the moderators to do so. I thought next to Rubio, Donald Trump was the big loser of the debate by far.

Despite Cruz apology, Carson’s closing comment to the effect that the next president should be a man of honesty and integrity reflected back to Cruz and Iowa. Friends of ours Cruz supporters thought the same and were despairing about it.

I fear you are correct. We have been moving toward the lowest common denominator for the past 60 years in many aspects. Behavior, dress, televisions depiction of fathers, music, and so forth. We must include politicians in the mix too. Depth is lacking in our society and yes, we are in serious trouble.

I think if you asked people who did not go into the debate already a mind-numbed Trump robot, Ted Cruz would be considered a top performer, if not the top performer last night last night.

Hey, Canadians (outside of Quebec anyway) are good folks.
I’m much more negative on the Harvard Law and Goldman Sachs connection than formative years in Canada.

Oh I think last night was bad for Cruz. He is just lucky it is NH. It depends on how things go in SC but I already hear some of Cruz’s robocalls in SC are deceptive and some lies....so who knows once they are given time on the media....they will be. He better be up and up on those. He is losing to Trump so he better be careful. For sure if he loses SC, Cruz is done.

Actually, I did hear that. I was driving listening to the debate and you’re right.

PS as far as I’m concerned, Trump’s childish behavior towards Bush last night made his already historically high negatives go even higher.

If the majority of people DON'T think Cruz won the debate, then our country may be beyond repair. If instead of intelligence, substance, facts and truth people prefer to listen to all the empty bickering and sloganeering that went on in this debate, then democracy might be failing before our eyes. If "lowest common denominator" candidates keep winning because the majority of voters are too stupid to appreciate the brilliance of the most qualified leaders like Cruz, then we don't have much hope for turning the country around.

Spoken like a true self righteous, holier-than-thou Cruz KoolAid drinker. ANYONE who doesn't agree with the 'Cruz' is stupid, unintelligent, and every other epithet you can dredge up. Your pompous arrogance will be your undoing, mark my words and when it happens, don't forget who called you out on it.

How he could drag InSain’s name into the debate is absurd. McCain hates him with every fiber and that is his go to guy? He was completely lost on that question.

He is not the debater everyone claims.
