Hillary Clinton Says Banning Fossil Fuel Extraction on Public Lands a 'Done Deal'
Washington Free Beacon ^ | February 6, 2015 | Ali Meyer

Hillary Clinton said that banning fossil fuel extraction on public lands is a 'done deal,' the Hill reported.

After Thursday night's Democratic debate in New Hampshire, an activist with the green group 350 Action asked Clinton whether she would support banning hydraulic fracturing if she were elected.

While Clinton said the president doesn't have the authority to do that, she did say that supporting a ban on fossil fuel extraction on public lands was a done deal.

"President Obama's Interior Department in January said it would halt new leases for coal mining on federal land while it figures out how to account for climate change-related costs associated with burning coal," states the article. "Obama and Clinton, however, have so far resisted calls to ban all fossil fuel extraction on federal land."

"Bernie Sanders, Clinton's opponent in the Democratic presidential primary, introduced a bill last fall to do just that, a cause supported by an environmentalist movement to 'keep it in the ground,'" the article states.

The Hill: Clinton was also confronted by another audience member Thursday night about donations from the fossil fuel industry.

"I'm going to pledge to stop fossil fuels, that's a lot better," she responded.

All subsidies - across the board - oil, gas, wind, solar, ethanol are gone; EPA fuel blend, gone.

Death tax, gone.

If these lands are PUBLIC, why the hell can’t THE PUBLIC extract fossil fuels on these lands? After all, the PUBLIC taxpayers are paying for the upkeep of these lands. It must be because the freeloading piggies in the District of Corruption think that BIG government is THE PUBLIC.

She knows she is losing. This is a sign of desperation to appeal to the far left

This woman should have been imprisoned, along with her reprobate “husband”, 30 years ago.

I was posting over at Mediaite, playing with a leftist as he was complaining about “corporate welfare”. I agreed with him. There should be no corporate welfare whatsoever, including Planned Parenthood.
The responses were outrageous. The left really likes corporate welfare after all.

True. How far left can you go? Moderate Communism? Radical Communism? Is Hillary going to be the best fascist? or Bernie?

She is the Autocrat’s Autocrat. She should be in prison stripes instead of on that podium.

How far left can you go?

You can only go to the center. On the right, you can go to the right wing, the radical right, the extremist right, or the racist right. But on the left, you can only be at the center.

It must be because the freeloading piggies in the District of Corruption think that BIG government is THE PUBLIC.

It's much worse than that.
The minuscule portion of the population who are mostly insane, controlling, hungry with power and have been enabled by the bureaucrats who profit by endless employment with zero accountability.

Their knowledge of science, cause and effect are similar to Obama's. They make pronouncements with no need to prove their grasp of the science involved.

Fraud on a massive scale. Follow the money and those who profit through lifetimes of job security.

But if you want to plaster public lands with solar panels or bird chopping windmills, go ahead.

They won't because they'll be economically dead in the water without subsidies. Musk (Solar City) has walked away from Arizona, is ditching Nevada, and New Mexico's market is collapsing.

Despite Tax Credit Extension, Threats Facing SolarCity Corp Are Far From Over

"..Residential solar companies present themselves as low-risk companies with long-term contracts, but they may not be as safe as they appear. The savings they provide to customers are built on energy policies that are under attack and won't likely last for long. Even California is building its plan for Net Energy Metering 2.0, which won't be as friendly to solar companies as NEM 1.0 was -- something investors will want to consider before going all-in on rooftop solar..."

The article is about Hitlery. Has jack to do with Teddy, but you’re so obsessed you have to change the focus?

How sad.

I know it disturbs you that I bring more information for discussion.

Here's some more:

Trump said he'll make government more efficient, that he won't cut services (he'll cut waste).

Be a better manager.

EPA/Education: "No, I'm not cutting services, but I'm cutting spending. But I may cut Department of Education (Common Core)"...

(Common Core, by the way, isn't a federal mandate: and he will leave in place EPA services - as in dictates?)

See how he massages his position for whichever audience he has?

Jan 19, 2015: Trump calls for higher ethanol mandate

Donald Trump said Tuesday that federal regulators should increase the amount of ethanol blended into the nation's gasoline supply.

Speaking at an event hosted by the Iowa Renewable Fuels Association, Trump, a real estate mogul and the front-runner for the Republican presidential nomination, said the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) ought to follow the ethanol volumes Congress set in 2007.

"The EPA should ensure that biofuel... blend levels match the statutory level set by Congress under the [renewable fuel standard]," Trump said........"

October 2015 - Trump isn't going to GUT the EPA, he's going to make it more efficient.

..."I'm not cutting services, but I'm cutting spending,", Trump told Wallace...Trump Vows To Cut 'Disgraceful' EPA

If the electric company would pay me for the extra electricity I could produce with solar panels, I might put some up. Now they only apply a credit toward an existing bill. I have large nearly flat roof and very low electrical usage. Of course, it would be reasonable for a deduction for management expenses, perhaps 30%.

The devil is in the details (and the taxpayer funded subsidy). And once the free ride using utility infrastructure is challenged, these solar grifters skip town.
