On Monday night, the Republican Party gave the first victory of 2016 to the first Hispanic candidate for president of the United States, Ted Cruz.
Sen. Cruz won for many reasons: his outsider appeal, disciplined message, and sophisticated get-out-the-vote operation. But after two trips to Iowa to volunteer for Cruz, I noticed something else about the Cruz campaign that probably made a difference.
Iâve worked on many campaigns. I started with George W. Bushâs 2004 campaign when I was 14, and Iâve volunteered at the grassroots level every year since. A wise mentor once told me the kind of organization a leader builds says a lot about him.
There was something different about the Cruz campaign, including many signs of kindness and courage:
â¢Cruzâs Urbandale headquarters were like many campaign headquarters â office space in a suburban strip mall. Streams of volunteers came in to sit in rows of phone bank tables, and went out with literature to canvass neighborhoods door-to-door. Staff bustled in and out of small offices. But people were relatively calm and quiet. There was orderliness.
â¢Unlike every other campaign I had worked on, the Cruz operation encouraged volunteers to engage. Plainly typed signs all around the phone bank said, please flag someone down if someone has you stumped with a Cruz question â we want to earn as many supporters as possible! This communicated not only a commitment to discipline, but also to rational persuasion and fearless confidence that our cause is what the voters are looking for.
â¢One of the offices had been cleared of desks and chairs and instead contained colorful foam mats, toy blocks, and coloring books. I saw four or five kids putting together puzzles or coloring quietly while a mother made calls from a folding chair. Someone told me

And the judge on 4 against one yesterday disagreed with him.
So...what’s that prove beyond a shadow of a doubt?
That it is SUSPECT.

Cruz didn’t admit anything other than that his campaign had passed on a CNN story. That story has turned out to be true. Carson hasn’t attended a single campaign event since he left Iowa Monday night.
Trumps never about facts as his intentions are creating drama and effective buzz words/comets to generate press coverage...good or bad makes no difference as long as he’s front and center. This engages the public and he’s good at back peddling sufficient for his followers to remain in his court.
LOL. Carson is likely to drop out.
He apologized for his operatives’ behavior.
Kindness does not equal deceit and unethical behavior by he and his crew.
They just want to keep the story alive in order to justify their attacks against Cruz.....
Rubio’s attacking Cruz....Jeb is....McConnell is....Trump is....most are....and that’s not going to let up.
Remarkably though Cruz won Iowa all the stories were about Rubio and Trump with Cruz’s win as an after thought.
It’s so very interesting watching the layout being played around Cruz.

There were no shenanigans. We are now three days from another primary day and Ben Carson has not held a single campaign event since he left Iowa Monday night. The CNN reports that the Cruz campaign passed on were true.
Nobody serious about a Presidential run conducts a campaign like this. No one but a fraud would hire a campaign bus to drive around the primary states, empty, to try to make voters think they are campaigning in their state. Carson is a FRAUD.
I heard him say last night that he was resourced all the way to Cleveland and would stay in.
And he’s running FOURTH in the nation right now.
And CBS reported on 31 December that Carson outstripped Cruz in fundraising with 24 MILLION dollars. http://www.cbsnews.com/news/carson-outpaces-cruz-with-23-million-fundraising-haul/
See #51
Constant pouncing on each and every Cruz thread, this one at #2, with absolutely NO content other than to turn the thread sour and bash it, is just Scorched Earth.
I’d venture that many Trump supporters would join many Cruz supporters in agreement.
Voter Fraud is a crime.
Now tell me what crime was committed and who committed it?
X, this is a manufactured crisis. It is a tempest in a tea pot. Some people just can’t let go.
If you think Cruz is such a slime, then don’t vote for him. But to accuse him of a crime is beneath you.
He’s 4th nationally
4th in SC
Further down in NH and isn’t spending time there after a virtual 2nd or 3rd in Iowa.
That did not take long.
Cruz has been visiting Iowa since he was a Canadian citizen.
From Mark Steyn:
“Time magazine cautions that “criticizing Ted Cruz seldom works”. But, whatever the truth behind these two incidents, they are (as Cruz’s former fellow British subjects would say) not cricket. To go back to where I came in, I would like to be governed by honorable men. The Cruz campaign’s behavior in Iowa does not meet that test.”
Exactly. My guess is that he was actually dropping out (who goes to Florida to get clothes???). Even as of the night of the caucus there were no events scheduled for him in NH and as of now I still can’t find any scheduled. I’m guessing he was dropping out and thought this was a way to at least act as if he’d been “wronged”.
If he can’t fire his own staffer for talking to CNN, he has no right to tell others to fire their people. It would be malpractice for a campaign to not notice and pass this along to the voters.
Where was the “Voter Fraud”?
What crime was committed, who committed it and what statute would they be prosecuted under?
Words have meaning and Voter Fraud has a clear legal definition.
