New York billionaire Donald Trump promises "forward motion" on so called gay rights if elected president.
While speaking with Bay Windows publisher Sue O'Connell Friday, Trump spoke about his wishes to unite the country on gay and lesbian issues.
According to a report by Bay Windows:
O'Connell, who is also Bay Windows' Publisher, identified herself as a lesbian in a question that noted the progress the LGBT community has made in the last two decades and asked Trump if voters can expect him to continue that momentum if elected
"When President Trump is in office can we look for more forward motion on equality for gays and lesbians?" O'Connell asked him.
"Well, you can," Trump answered. " And look, again, we're going to bring people together, and that's your thing and other people have their thing. We have to bring all people together and if we don't we're not going to have a country anymore."
Trump, in the recent past has supported liberal positions, and though often criticizing and singling out specific groups he has not attacked the gay community. Now he shows his true leftist view points in an interview just days before the New Hampshire primary where he leads in the polls.
If he’s really supporting this I will not support Trump if he is the nominee.
Severely conservative.
Trump is a typical lifelong New York liberal. I am stuned that he has been able to fool so many conservatives.
“If heâs really supporting this I will not support Trump if he is the nominee.”
You need to carefully read what he says. Do you honestly think he could say anything different?n You have to pick your battles, and that is not the hill to die on.
More research required before I believe this one. Conservative Review is a website run by Ted Cruz’s campaign carnival barker and head cheerleader, Mark Levin.
Call me “not surprised”.
Another repost?
Oh yeah? Well... somethingsomething Goldman Sachs! So there!
Stay Calm Robin ... Gays are not denied the 1st Amendment rights (unlike Christians and Conservative College Students), entitled to own guns (unlike law abiding citizens), and provided due process (unlike ranch owners)
I don’t know how much more “equality” gays need ... Don;t we all have equal civil rights?
I hate to say it, but the gay thing now is pretty much fait accompli, we had our chances to stop it, but now it’s over.
My hope however is that Trump would also respect the rights of businesses to refuse requests to accommodate gays, like with the bakery. Because forcing businesses to give into the Gay agenda does not bring people together.
So before rushing to judgement on what is a pretty vague statement, I would like to hear Trump’s position on this.
Thanks for clarifying the article. I didn’t want to give CR the traffic so I was going to go to goole.
Me either. He's supposedly converted to pro-life but now he's going to have to convert to pro-normal if I'm to vote for him.
oops meant google
On the main thread - the consensus among the Trumpers was...
This is traditional politi-speak. A deflection if you will.
A non-answer if ever there was one. A vague yes or no - it depends on how YOU interpret the answer.

Cruzers are.. “See! We told you so!”
scare quotes for “conservative”
I’m not. There are many who created their version of DT in their heads going on a few things he said “right,” such as the fence. The fantasy has kept growing until they see him as electable and perfect for president, all the while denying his New York mentality and roots.
