I heard Cruz speak that night, at my caucus. He didn't say anything about Carson getting out, nor did any of his people. I have talked to a lot of friends that also attended their caucus meetings. Again, no one heard anything about this until later, after they got home, or maybe the next day.
It is weird trying to correct an emotion-driven story with facts, when I was actually there, but can't get thru the noise...frustrating...
All those rationalizations I cited came from other FReepers on other threads over the last few days.
oy. The guy is a sloth. If Katrina hit during his presidency it would have taken 5 MONTHS to get water to the superdome. I blame Carson, for not being concerned enough about his voters to stay through the count, and the stupid voters for not confirming.
What a lack of motivation. Go to bed, Carson. Your deal with DT will come out under the FOIA even if you did sign a non-disclosure.

There was no mention of this at my caucus in suburban Des Moines. I spoke to a person who was Steve King’s caucus. King did not mention the story when he spoke for Cruz, and no one else mentioned it either.
I also spoke to attendees (including Carson and Trump supporters) from Humboldt, Kossuth and Wright counties. No one mentioned the story at their caucuses.
Some people, FReepers included, are knowingly making false claims about this.
In the history books it will be written that Ted Cruz and his campaign used DIRTY tricks on a fellow Christian. The Cruz campaign and its defenders have failed to put this story to rest because it is hard to defend NASTY behavior. Bob Vanderbilt Plaats and Rick Tyler look painfully uncomfortable every TV interview they do. Ted will have to defend his own failure to reprimand his staffers in the debate tomorrow.

Trump’s followers are basing their choice largely on feelings. They hope Trump believes what he is saying. He changes positions faster than impatient drivers change lanes, but they ignore it because they have hope that he will build the wall.
One minute he wants to sue Cruz because he’s not an NBC, the next minute he wants him as a VP. One minute he congratulates his opponent, the next minute he says he was robbed.
Eventually people see through the veneer. Donald Trump is a very expensive empty suit.

I finally broke my addiction to watching Fox after it became clear they are in the tank for Rubio and resort to outright lying about Ted Cruz.

well you are wrong sorry but on Greta’s show there was a named person who did see people change their votes to Cruz.. and even if there were no votes changed,, them attempting to do it is just as bad.. like a bank robber getting caught before he walks away from the teller’s booth.. he’s still just as guilty.

Nonsense. Carson screwed up nobody is to blame but Carson and his amateurish campaign.
They reported he had left Iowa before the caucuses had even ended, if he was a threat to win if his votes hadn’t supposedly been stolen. WOuld a potential caucus winner leave during the caucus, if course not.
The report was that he wasn’t going to SC or NH, absolutely correct, as a matter of fact he won’t be in NH until the TV debate there, call that odd is a YUGEEEE understatement.
They reported the campaign would make a Yuge statement the following week, indeed they have they have laid off 40% of the campaign staff.
Functionally they are shutting down the campaign this week. Would the layoffs been larger if not for the phony scandal?
We will never know. With all the defections and resignations among Senior this has been a failing campaign in turmoil.
Given the CNN report it was legit to being it to Carson supporters. I want our candidate to play bare knuckle, play to win politics how do you think we beat the rats otherwise.
