Trump won't rule out Cruz as VP pick
Politico ^

In a striking reversal of rhetoric, Donald Trump would not rule out Ted Cruz as his hypothetical vice-presidential pick.

"Well, I don"t know. Look, I have nothing against him. It was sort of a sad thing that happened, but I'"ve always liked him," Trump told Hugh Hewitt on his radio show Thursday, after weeks of trashing his primary rival as nasty, hypocritical and disliked.

Trump added that he has "always gotten along well" with Cruz, but that "I'm so much now focused on New Hampshire."

TRUMP knows CRUZ’S delegates will be needed to counteract a brokered convention.

Creepy indeed.

I’ve stayed away from the mudslinging for a while, but feel compelled to get involved.

From what I’ve read and just recently engaged in, I find the Trump supporters on FR more obnoxious than Trump himself.

I’m pretty sure he needs an act of Congress. I’m just pretty please asking Ted to post his USA birth certificate. To put an end to this!

>> Taking Cruz is less likely than taking Rubio since TExas will be a sure thing while Florida is a swing state <<

True enough. But I also am persuaded that Trump or any other GOP nominee would need Ohio to win. So don’t be surprised if Trump or Rubio or Cruz picks Kasich.

The most interesting thing about all of this to me is not the behavior of Trump or the behavior of Cruz. I would vote for either if they’re the nominee.

No, the most interesting thing is the behavior of the FR Stormtrumpers. For months they claimed that Donald was only in this to be a stalking horse for his pal Ted. That was their justification for supporting Trump over Cruz, a known conservative quantity.

Now however when the two are often at odds suddenly Ted is some sort of devil and their hero is there to stop that devil.

I guess they were lying when they claimed to support Cruz as their second choiceor when they claimed this was all about beating JEb and the other RINOs

Ted wouldn’t be able to get the time of day from other senators, much less a resolution.

Yeah... and Trump is trying to walk this fight back a little. There is a debate coming up and if the gloves are off, the gloves are off. I don’t think he really wants to go a few rounds with Cruz in a debate with the gloves really off. Just my opinion.

His record shows that it is a fraud.

No.

Want proof? Trump hired 150 Polish illegals for the demolition work to build Trump Tower. They were paid $4-5 an hour, 12 hours a day, seven days a week with no overtime. They were demolishing an old building with lead and asbestos dust without breather masks, hard hats, or gloves. Then he stiffed some of them for their pay. He was sued by the union over it for breach of contract. He fought that suit for TWENTY years, and settled.

Our "champion of the working man" is a corporate welfare queen for the cheap labor express. He plans to bring illegals back "rapidly" as legal immigrants and therefore future Democrats.

Hence Donald Trump is a fraud on illegal immigration.

I guess they were lying when they claimed to support Cruz as their second choiceor when they claimed this was all about beating JEb and the other RINOs Cruz is RINO, just a RINO from the right. Evangelicals are not going to carry him through the Presidential Election. If he continues Rubio will win the nomination and I consider Rubio to be left of Trump. A President Rubio will work within the framework of the GOPe. A President Cruz would mire us in social politics. While a President Trump will ease us back to the center while protecting national interests. Rubio has a shot at winning as does Trump. I want Trump. on a Trump/Christie ticket. Why you re seeing the divergence of the Trump-Cruz dual supporters is because of the orchestrated effort from the GOPe to split that end of the ticket. Call it voter suppression by voter depression and there is a microcosm example here on FR being between both factions.

Nice try, I never supported Walker. (or anyone)

I never once said or thought he was going to be president.

Yep, that sucker is seriously flawed, and has been used as a propaganda tool here for four months, numerous times per day.

Then you see folks wetting themselves because they didn’t like a graphic that was critical of their guy and his supporters over a few hours.

This of course reveals the mental capacity of the typical Cruz supporter. 4 monts/4 hours Same thing in their mind. No scratch that, 4 hours was thousands of times worse. Why their chart was addressing real issues.

One of those real issues was Second Amendment centered. Trump has put out a very good policy statement on the Second Amendment. It is has been reviewed and assessed to be solid. So Levin’s chart dings Trump.

Trump is a CCW holder. He’s not going to want to give that up, so we can understand the CCW is there to stay under him. Further, he has talked about a national CCW. There are plenty of places in this nation where it is almost impossible to get one. That’s a good idea.

So Trump has changed and is now a solid guy on the Second Amendment. This chart doesn’t reflect that. It’s dishonest.

The chart shows Ted to be better at running a budget and getting the federal debt under control? Based on what?

What budget has Ted every had to get under control? This would be downright laughable, if it wasn’t a smear against a guy that has had to meet a bottom line for forty years.

Trump has managed a top level multi-layered nation and international real estate investment team. He has had to iron out differences in international settings. He is a very capable CEO.

Is Ted? No.

Trump has several top level finance men that have agreed to work for him gratis, to get the budget under control and start paying down the debt.

Which guy has more of a chance of doing that, Trump or Ted?

Is there any question? And yet, Levin allows this trash to float off his site all over the internet.

And yet, the Cruz folks defend it. It’s a very honorable piece of work.

It’s trash, and any reasoned person would admit it.

Four months, peppered all over this forum that piece of excrement is.

4 months/4 hours

That’s expresses the ability of the Cruz folks to be objective about as well as anything I’ve seen here.

Wow, a lot said there. Thanks!

I guess it boils down to one’s judgment, right?

The primary division here at FR, which excludes all but Cruz and Trump, is inevitably a division between loyalty and hope. And neither perspective warrants vitriol from the other. But I’m still Irish and don’t mind a good fight ;)
