*VANITY* Marco Rubio won Monday night?
02-04-2016 | Me

Posted on 02/04/2016 6:58:49 AM PST by Kevin in California

Who knew? I thought he had finished 3rd. Maybe I was sick that night. Not only has the Rubio campaign infiltrated my work e-mail but, they're asking to chip in $20.16. I got news for them...thay ain't happening. Check it out, they said he won this past Monday night. ***

They said it couldn't happen.

They said we didn't have the right endorsements. They said I should wait my turn. They said we didn't have a chance. Friend, we proved them all wrong, and with your immediate help we will continue to silence our opponents and the nay-sayers who want to see our conservative beliefs defeated and sidelined.

If I can count on your support will you let me know by making an instant online donation? CHIP IN $20.16 RIGHT NOW! »

Our victory in Iowa Monday night was just the beginning. We will not sit idly by and allow our opponents to determine our campaign's future. WE will decide that, and Friend: We are going to win the Republican nomination and take back the White House next November!

Establishment plan.
Put some paid troll on here and other sites.
Have them mix it up between Trump and Cruz voters so Rubio is not targeted.
Siphon voters from the Cruz and Trump camps who are fed up of them arguing.
This Rubio gets the nomination.

I wish some would see what is really going on.

it is divide and conquer.

The polls had him finishing in 3rd. He finished in 3rd. That is all.

A lot of people don't seem to have the IQ level to grasp that simple fact.

Rush Limbaugh doesn't have a problem with Rubio working with Sen. Jeff Flake , Richard Durbin, Lindsey Graham, John Mc Cain, Bob Meenendez, Chuck Shumer and Marco Rubio.

But that's ok in Rush's book but not Trump working with Democrats

Trump never said on what

Rubio on giving a pathway citizenship.

Rush you think we are low information voters or radio listeners?

There are two ways to win in these contests, and two ways to lose. The most obvious way to win is to come in first place. The most obvious way to lose is to come in behind someone else.

But there is also the subtle “expectations” contest. Rubio beat expectations by a large margin. He won in that way.

Bush, by comparison, has been losing for months because the expectations were that he would be at the top of the pack.

Trump lost because he came in second, and his team (including supporters on Freerepublic) have been furiously spinning the expectations game to make it seem like he met or exceeded expectations. He actually did meet expectations of a mid 20’s result, so he isn’t a “double loser”.

In politics, often you’ll see campaigns sandbag their chances in a race (”Oh, tomorrow will be a good day, we expect to end up third or fourth in the polls”) in order to reap the rewards of exceeding expectations (”Wow! Second place! Much better than we thought!”) and prevent any perceptions that they didn’t live up to expectations.

Expect to see some sandbagging as New Hampshire gets closer.

Yes, but it was supposed to be a distant third.

I'd refrain from mocking Rubio's 3rd place win. He's going to surge. Cruz has no ground game outside of Iowa and Trump (who I'm supporting) is increasingly demonstrating a level of immaturity that I find troubling. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

I will not be surprised at all when Marco Rubio becomes a serious contender, especially as other candidates throw in the towel.

Rush will not endorse a candidate ,,,, PERIOD !!! Yes ,,, Rush has said many nice things about several of the candidates including Trump and Cruz . I’m sorry but the gang of eight was not a good deal in the minds of most conservative INFORMED radio listeners .

When an underdog basketball team is predicted to be blown out by double digits, then pulls to within one point at the end, that is a “win” for the loser.

“and Trump (who I’m supporting) is increasingly demonstrating a level of immaturity that I find troubling. I’m sure I’m not the only one.”

I went from supporting Trump, to being on the fence about him after mocking that guy with Arthrogryposis (my nephew has that), to being completely turned off by him after saying he’d work with the most hardcore Leftists in Washington. Now the endless personal childish attacks distracting from actual substantive issues, he’s completely lost me.

Rubio’s amnesty will give the Democrats a permanent majority.
End of Republic, period.

Rush’s position is that Rubio is good on a lot of issues, and he’s discounting the value of that move. I am surprised because one of the things that really soured me on my Senator was the cheap snow job he tried to pull when he joined Rush’s show and other tv appearances during the gang of eight. He was a mess, talking fast over his words, trying to out pace any argument against it, and lying about what’s in the bill. Also, voting down any conservative improvements to it. He was fully committed to the Schumer version.

He’s been good on other issues, but this was so bad I had no faith in the guy. I would rather vote for him than the slew of barely center right guys the party tried to push on us. He would be better than them and clearly better than Hill. He’s primarily a Reaganite conservative and undetstands Marxism and world events. He would be half a loaf to conservatives, which is better than no loaf at all.

Kevin, he won by Common Core math.

The winner is who the media says it is.

Since Monday night, FoxNews, for example, hardly mentions Cruz, except in some negative way, while they laud Rubio as the new Second Coming. The media are trying desperately to find someone they can help propel to the nomination, as they did with Obama in 2008.

Perception becomes reality.

That's not the plan at all. Hillary and the rest of the establishment want to run against Rubio. Rubio has honesty issues, for example his remarks about pulling himself up by his boot straps Also he refuses to attack Hillary with the facts. Instead of "felon" and "directed her underlings to leak classified" he says "inappropriate" and "unqualified". He will allow himself to be hedged in by the media until he can no longer criticize Hillary about anything. Contrast to Cruz and the politically incorrect Trump.
